AI created images and not done well. Here's your clue folks, AI, specifically GPT can't spell words when it creates images. It's an odd shortfall but just at the letters on most the trucks.

The IMV 0 is now the Hilux Champ and it is *not* $8k. It sells for about $12k USD, where they're actually available.
@FatBoyBrettАй бұрын
I’ve read that this truck cost about $8k in Thailand and such. *IF* it was to come to North America. It would be closer to $13k-$15k. But let’s be real it won’t be coming to America.

-- I don't see how this is possible in North America with Biden's economy. 'Sounds' good enough to buy two of them. I like the YOTA, personally. But no, I just don't see this happening. Hope I'm wrong. Powers that be, the economy, Americans will never get a fair shake.

who buys EV's for long range travel :) These should be limited to being 2nd / 3rd car in family just for groceries and around city driving
@reggiedaniels6920Ай бұрын
You know, all of the things that you are talking about that mount up the frustrations for after purchase issues is nothing new. This happened to cars in general when they first began to replace horse and buggies. There were no technicians to fix them. With every new just in technology that is introduced into the market place that is a very large lag in the ability for those things to get fixed when they break. The manufacturers never think in advance about building a body of technical people who can quickly and economically repair those new technologies. It's the same with solar. The number of technicians who can diagnose and fix issues or breakdowns with them is woefully lagging behind the production of such technologies. So let's not make this into an EV versus ICE vehicle problem. Even today for as long a ICEs have been around, every time some new feature is introduced a new issue for buyers is created for the consumer. Because the only thing that the developers are concerned with is to get the product money and deal with any after purchase problem later. That's the world standard!

smaller motors and smaller ev's with large battery capacity are the future
@robedwards94862 ай бұрын
In the US you do not need a licenses to work on EV'S, the cost is due to the manufacurers and parts companies.

I've seen us go from repairable printer calculators, to disposable... repairable DVD players, to disposable...repairable TV sets, computers, and appliances , to now almost ALL DISPOSABLE. Now the stage is set for completlely "Throw-away" vehicles. All the while we complain about "E-waste". The Disney movie "Wall-E" seems to be an accurate prediction of our future. Obese people and overfilled landfills. If stuff was made to LAST, and be passed down through generations, the cost of living wouldn't be so high, AND the environmental impact on the earth would be a fraction of the current trend.

EV's aren't worth fixing. They are so expensive to repair that owners junk them and go back to an internal combustion car.
@timothyirey42152 ай бұрын
please do better research. Many scapped EV parts are being used to electrify classic cars and create a used parts market. There is also a growing EV tunning trend with car owners. I have been an electric forklift mechanic for a number of years and EV repairs are more simplistic than combustion engine vehicles.
