You people need to learn that when someone is treated like filth all their life from a abusive father, neglective mother to bullying by some spoiled, white, rich, four-eyed kid with a bunch of buttbuddies ganging up on them, that is what resorts to people like that! It's easy for those who don't have a life like that to dismiss it. You might argue "bUt OtHeR pEoPle GeT oVeR iT!!!111" I'm no therapist but people don't just "gEt OvEr iT" without any kind of motivation or support and some may despite that but everyone is different. But the way I see it, Severus Snape is just a complex character who unlike other heroes and villains, is not some one dimensional, fantasy type that you generally see in storybooks, cartoons and fantasy films who one will like or hate which is fine either way, but the reasons behind the hatred is ridiculous especially when it comes from PC Culture spouting buzzwords as if to sound like they've made a point. And a lot of the information being directed at Snape is nothing more than just lies vomited out by the woke/cancel/purity community who are seriously rotting many industries.

What Snape did later on verbally taunting Harry through his school was wrong . Troubling others was just a ploy to get in well with other Slytherins a tact known to Dumbeldore very well but in the case of Harry he actually took a vicarious pleasure in bothering him , be it part of mission or not . However , what James and the others ( except Lupin ) did was horrible and unacceptable. Whatever stuff Snape did later on was purely due to the hatred projected at him ( remember James loathes Slytherins due to their affiliation with the dark arts and he also bullied Snape due to probably his affection for Lily). Nope , they made his life miserable and any a hole that keeps on bothering under the premise of hormonal teenage immaturity is actually not right . It can probably be forgiven but that will take a long time as Snape was often bullied in a very extremely humiliating manner ( being stripped off wtf have some limits atleast ). Also , yeah Snape being a spy that projected the information to Voldemort is often used as an excuse by James fans that oh he killed them , Snape isnt supposed to be a pure guy either . He found his calling with Voldemort and he eventually redeemed himself thats what character arcs is about just the way i like to believe that James too redeemed himself after school and regretted his immature bullying past . ( Which is why I like the idea of James as a responsible adult with obviously a spark of mischief ) . Also Snape attempted to protect them ( the books obviously show he was only concerned about Lily ) under secrecy with only Dumbeldore as his confidant and it was Wormtail who threw them under the bus . The hell am I speaking so long about this stuff. Well the character i like the most these days is Harry himself.

I agree with what I previously posted except I no longer like Severus as it was him that got Lily and James killed and Harry having no living parents despite the fact that James saved Snape’s life at great risk to his own life. Snape was a cruel, vindictive man that bullied school children and kept a grudge long past his rivals death. Snape’s plea to Voldemort and Dumbledore was also selfish as he was only too willing to see Lily live and her husband and son die so that he could be with her!

In the clip where they show her shes telling James to leave him alone. But when he called her a Mudblood she just blinked and said fine and called him snivllius out of revenge for calling her a mudblood. Maybe the slight smirk in her lips was either because he called her a mudblood or she liked the view 😊

Which is why there are certain things not properly done in the books just the way its not so in the movies . Despite being considered an angelic figure , I was surprised when I re-read the book after deathly hallows as to how Lily wasnt truly making a complete attempt to help Snape and the smile part just showed me she was probably done being friends with a Slytherin especially since she was finding newer friends and her growing interest in James Potter . Also she didnt even give proper understanding to Snapes apology ( not telling she should have accepted it ) . My brother immensely hated James due to the fact that he was bullied a lot as a kid and when he made an attempt to defend from the main bullies and their cronies , the staff and worse other kids who despite being bullied by this jerk didnt pin blame on him completely (as he was a star student of the class) and soon a story circulated that both were rivals and later kind of bullies just because my brother had become kind of snappy at the guys who used to bully him whenever they tried to interact with him ( out of school work related stuff or maybe some of them actually tried to be nice but he didnt want anything to do with them ) . A few kids eventually did side with my bro however and eventually more started to support him . The matter only came to the front because my brother countered their bullying attempt and the staff was actually, dont know if they knew or not , were actually trying to throw my bro under the bus . Even my parents and me thought my brother did something and for a short time it would have been bad had not the others stood up for him later on though. The staff later hushed the matter down and blamed both parties . Honestly, a good thing did pop out - the star bully stopped bullying after this and his cronies too lost their appetite for this stuff . Wasnt much important to tell this big ass story but when i read the books that James and Severus were equals in school years with blame on both sides actually pisses me off.
