i agree. I thought it was going to be so funny based on all the hype but it was NOT. I fell asleep on the movie in the theater. It wasn't funny at all. I didnt laugh once. The theater I was in was empty too, guess that was a sign. I was so disappointed but I supported. Keke never been funny to me she comes off as if she tries to hard its just not a natural funny for me.

It was beautiful! A safe haven, just like the other Studio Ponoc works and Studio Ghibli for that matter. I think it's underrated!

This movie was ridiculous. The silliest part is after it's confirmed that these lions will indeed attack and kill. They actually agreed that 1 of the 4 will remain outside the plane, knowing the lions were returning at night In a real situation comfort is out the picture 10 people will cram in a tight space till sunrise if it meant avoiding a horrible death from lions. When they showed the 3 men in the cockpit there was clearly enough room to stuff another body in. What idiot would accept a coin toss in a situation like that? Then just sit outside waiting to be killed.

I actually liked how this show doesnt take things to the next level like you were saying it should. There needs to be more simple anime with episodes that have self contained plots and a "challenge of the week" vibe. Not every show needs a complex plot.

Can't expect non-Europeans to differentiate on this, sure he meant no harm, so rather than just correcting it is better to give a full explanation of why "Northern Ireland" as a term is redolent of colonialism, right? My explanation as I understand it is that we say "North of Ireland" because it's the North-Eastern bit of our island that was partitioned in the Treaty of December 1921 and the continuing occupation by the British state is controversial. Do correct me if this doesn't fully capture it. Dear everyone, if you want to empathise with Irish people, please say "North of Ireland" in future.

I enjoyed it quite a bit. Thor and Odin in Norse mythology weren't really good guys to anyone not from Asgard. Marvel has softened and humanized them to make them heroic and conflicted. It's definitely jarring to see the differences between the two Thor portrayals.
