I was there, on the Liverpool end, four of us getting a bus from Cambridge. It was 42 years ago today! Anyone know who the commentator was? Gerald Sinstadt maybe?

What a player, Martin Peters was, what a goal, and also Colin Suggett A right handful
@kevinwest265423 күн бұрын
I still think that Peters is the best player we've ever had, and that was so long after the World Cup in '66. I love to watch him in these old clips. The way he'd "ghost into the box" and score a back post header, and few people these days can score so often from glancing near-post headers.

Norwich city's biggest win in their four thousand year history.they beat Ipswich town,one nil on penalties after extra time,in the fa cup first round, at the eleventh time of asking.keith bertschin just picked it up and tried to put it in the goal by hand,wrestling the goalkeeper to the ground but it was disallowed for offside.he was interfering with play.the referee said that he would have allowed it had he been non existent.let that be a lesson to your young children.life is a lifelong football match and you are hoping to win a pulsating final 2-1 ,deep into injury time,against a fantastic team,with a magnificent performance.however the reality is,you're an absolutely appalling,incapable,hapless abject mobile balderdash unit who just get murdered and ripped apart,from pillar to post ,even losing 11-1 to an under 90s unemployed group.exactly.i don't know about you but our biggest ever win ,was nil nine!there's an old Chinese proverb if you can't win or overcome your obstacles in beautiful fashion, and make it look magnificent in front of the girls,you may as well get blown to smithereens by the first bypasser with a piece of paper and a pencil.leave winning handsomely to proper blokes,it's just easier to get hammered and stay poor for life.just try to keep it down to 9-0.if you try to win 2-1 with a late late sickener,in a pulsating encounter,you'll probably just make yourself look stupid.look at me.i was supposed to be grooving down with the kids and taking beautiful stunners out to expensive restaurants.now look at me.pushing tin for four pence an hour!the going rate for morons!

A time when they/you spent 89 minutes pretending your not hurt. Compared to ninety minutes of pretending you are hurt. How times change. Evolution hey!? The oestrogen really started to kick in by these times. What our grandparents put on the table on a Sunday has certainly changed that's for sure. Crazy looking back at the area of carrow road. In footage back in time before Man Utd fans got the kids to set the place alight because they were actually getting beat up. Such a desolate area with the railway lines but Bolton and Paul ammunition works just over along where the shopping area, apartments and tetherspoons. Bleak but great times. Where people couldn't imagine when a certain pair of clubs used to visit our city. The mass concentration of the colour red. Sorry not you arsenal. And that tiny thin blue line in between. Luckily there's other things to do nowadays Football was huge part of life. When there was less grey areas as a game compared to it today. They've ruined it. Getting athletes to play football instead of other way round. Oldest colours in the history of football. Yellow and green. The city put out the same colour bunting for the arrival of queen Elizabeth the first. Went to most of the games away as well. Great days.

I was coming up to my 5th birthday and it was a couple of years before getting my first season ticket with Mum and Dad, but I still recall every name. This is the first time I have ever seen this game and it has put a proper smile on my face. Thank you for posting.😁
