A Dry Box consists of a water tight container that is filled with silica gel crystals which creates a clean dry environment for water absorption. As long as the initial exposure to water did not damage the internal components, the silica gel crystals absorb the excess moisture from the device and can potentially restore the device to working condition. The silica gel crystals are loose in the box to be more effective.
