If Oingo Boingo left in all the outtakes from 'Only a lad' it wouldn't be their worst album. It's not a bad album but they just have such great music on later albums.

This song is actually titled NATURE ZONE. Don't know where they came up with WOKE UP CLIPPED, which is another song entirely. And yes, this is from a show in 1980 at Madam Wongs, the giveaway is Danny mentioning "Commando Girls" which was a song that was written and performed live for around a year at that time, prior to the band having a record contract. I know this is I was part of the crew starting at that time & was at the show. Oh those early days!...

only video I could find of this song with a comment section. Susan's on some dank shit to think removing musical comment sections was a good idea. I fucking love this song. the line "if I could change the future, I'd change the past instead" gave me the BIG seretonin release, and I sing that lyric whenever it comes.

@@andrewgrant7012 Did you know that the title "my Sherrie" is a pun ? Indeed in french the word "chérie" means the one I cherish and is translated in english as honey or sweetheart. They used the phonetic similarities between the french word chérie and the surname Sherrie to make the joke. The singer announces that Sherrie is his girlfriend and that he loves her while making a subtle pun.
