This is before replaced the old tuners, lowered the action, and polished the frets to a mirror finish. I believe they are brass frets since they shine like gold now

I put on the flat-wound strings off camera cause after upgrades, some strings were too short to put back on, or I broke one, can’t remember.

You will always notice better sound putting new strings on compared to the used ones regardless of the brand. I personally like the Martin Authentic Acoustics
@Soldier1287Ай бұрын
I didn’t know Martin made strings too. Acoustic wise I only used ernie ball & elixer. I assumed this Ibanez came out the box with daddarios like my Gio

Elixer strings are hot garbage. I can't believe they're still a thing.

I could not really pick any difference before and after the new strings. Demonstrations on KZbin are not always conclusive because all sorts of things interfere with the true acoustic tone on the way into the ether.
@Soldier12872 ай бұрын
Still, I remember having a set of Elixers on an acoustic I sold years ago, and they kept their sound for a very long time. Don’t know which Elixers, but I remember those strings costing at least $20. But then again it was sold at guitar center where prices are higher and I was a ignorant beginner at the time
@Soldier12872 ай бұрын
I approached it more mellow vocally for acoustic as opposed to the electric version

In the last year, I just learned about airway wheels and can really speed up making metal surfaces into a mirror finish. I already have power tools that can knock paint off like it’s nothing without gouging the metal, so I figured I’d try my luck at polishing my existing rims into a mirror finish. If things don’t work out, I’ll just paint them white
