Thanks for the beautiful photage of the incredibly beautiful landscape of Kyrgyzstan. I actually had a hiking trip planned to Kyrgyzstan planned a few years ago, and then covid came :-( I have to start planning again! Just out of curiousity, what drone did you use for the aerial filming?

It looks simply beautiful. I've been thinking about traveling to Krigistan to hike there for a while now. Thanks to your video, the same route is definitely an option for me. Did you book a group tour at visitalay or a private tour? As you can usually be seen alone on the videos? I also tend to prefer traveling alone rather than in a group...

The visa policy of the Kyrgyz Republic sucks! Be aware that they aren’t granting visas but asking for money!!!you will be very frustrated waiting many days for a visa and they don’t care about anything.

Thank you, Ryan, for this beautiful video. It is professional. Respect! I plan a trip to Kyrgyzstan with my family in June and July this year, and, of course, hiking/trekking is our priority. Watching your video, I have an idea that trekking can be done without a guide (I looked at the prices of Visit Alay and found it a bit pricy for my budget-family of 4). I thought of booking a stay with CBT. Do you think is doable?

Thank you, Ryan, for the stunning pictures. The color palette is just incredible especially those silvery slopes on approaching the Jiptick pass. Having stayed in Kojo-Kelen village with a local hospitable Alay family in early August 2022, I did the Sary-Bell to Jiptick pass track and back to Kojo-Kelen on my own. The Sary-Bell to Kojo-Kelen downward path is insanely beautiful. It's the 17:12 to 20:14 part of the video. It took me 5 hours to complete it at a leisurely pace. A piece of advice to future travellers. Just spend one full day in Kojo-Kelen, the village is totally underrated with its rows of trees giving shadow and its overall rustic atmosphere. Plus, it's famous for the red-brownish rocks hanging over the village to give you splendid views. Check out Google Earth's images of this area. In early August, the leaves on the trees were bright green as if it had been early spring. And a walk in the night along the main road (with a torch lamp) was just out of this world. One downside is it rained heavily in 2 days out of 4 at around 4-5 pm. The daily temprature was 18-22 C. One more thing is that you can negotiate a car transfer from Kojo-Kelen to the nearest point to Jiptick pass which is just 10 km away instead of walking through a rather uninspiring landscape for 10 more kilometres.

Hi Ryan,. My plan is to repeat your trek together with my two cousins. Could you give us some advice. We will be traveling with Alay in mid-June. What should you unconditionally take with us. How to pack so we can load it on the horse later. Do we need water filters, power banks etc?

I really feel your videos deserve so many more views as they quality is astounding! You mentioned at the start of this video that you are going to do another video for this trip, a guide video as such, like you did for the Madeira video. I hope you still plan to do this as I found the Madeira video you did like this really interesting and useful. Fingers crossed you have time to put it out at some point! I am up in the Tushars often, skiing or hiking. This video really captures the lighting that is present up there. It is like nowhere else--kind of dark, shadowy--quiet feeling. I love it and it seeps into you up there. Really a mystical, beautiful place. Terrific job.
