Did you glue or use a screw for attachment of the base? I really like this addition and will be adding one to mine. What are the measurements if you don’t mind.
@Jeff-Z
@Jeff-Z Ай бұрын
About 3.5 x 5.5 inches. I don't remember screws; it's probably glued. More info in the link in the description

I made a supporting "shelf" from 1x3 with a groove routed along the top edge. The tops of the backglasses are screwed to the wall with clear plastic mirror hanging clips.

Nostalgia got me working on a similar "color organ" project (with baffle) as you originally built. I only had fading memories of one I used to have 50 years ago so have been searching for plans, deconstructs, etc. Your web post has been of great help!

Can you imagine if they would have got the track further south to Lenhartsville and they could have boarded trains off of old 22? They could have ended the track just north of old 22. Of course such an extension today would be impossible. The row ownership reverted to the landowners along the line when the Reading had it pulled in 1972 between North Albany and Evansville. WK&S couldn't afford to buy any track to the south since they had just reorganized as an all volunteer operation after being closed for two years. The scrapper donated the track to North Albany. I hope they at least do something with the track to North Albany. They rebuilt the line by the feed mill recently, dug it up, laid new ties. I rode the trolley in the early 80's which went to North Albany and back after returning from Wanamaker. The last steam train of the day went to North Albany as well from 1975-1977. I just wish more of the line could have been saved. Most of it past the end of the line past Wanamaker is private roads, overgrown, or even built upon, etc. Some old bridges remain. Jacksonville and Lenhartsville stations are private homes with additions. Lenhartsville was moved to south of old 22 away from where the tracks were. I would love to see a video of the now gone sections when it was in operation by the Reading. There were some clips on youtube. There was a fan trip to Best in the 50's when the line ended there. You can see the two bumper posts for the two tracks at Best in a photo on the Lehigh County Railroad Stations page. Passenger service ended in 1949. Track between Best and Little Run Jct. must have been ripped up after that. Best is past Germansville. I wonder what happened to all the cast iron W signs in an oval with a white W in a black oval with a white oval outline and the RR xing X signs like the ones at Creek Rd., Trexler, and Wanamaker on the now gone sections? Must have been scrapped by the Reading. Thieves stole railroad signs last year from the WK&S but the Reading and Northern police helped get them back.

@robkrasinski6217
@robkrasinski6217 2 жыл бұрын
And I don’t think the gone sections of the S&L are even walkable. There are missing bridges, overgrowth, missing fills, etc. Their original plans were to go to Germansville but a stubborn landowner past Wanamaker caused the line to be ended at that point along Rt. 143.

If I connected a rechargeable bat (1.5V) in series with the solar panel would the frequency increase, ie less time to get to 3.7 volts. If t = time to 3.7, freq = 1/t. s = time to 2.2 = (3.7-1.5), then s = (2.2/3.7)*t. What do think.
