Just assembled mine. I used the 45 degree boots to make a set for an LS1. Coilpack on the valve cover. 2-1/2“ from inner boot edge to boot edge. I used windex as “lubricant” to get the boots on first. Then crimped the connectors. Then slid the boots back over. I like what you recommended with pliers to squeeze the connector ends together. Then I preloaded the connector into the crimper. Then fed the conductor and insulated end into the connector.

Yes you will need to swap the lifters out for the LS7 lifters (or use the short style already in the engine). Some people just swap the tall lifters out, but since they are cheap for the oem LS7 we recommend replacing all of them. We always have these in stock if you need a set.

Why wouldn't I want to defeat DFM through HP Tuners and simply turn it off? That's what I did for my L83.

You could do it that way! But, using Hp tuners to turn DFM off is still using the failure prone DFM lifters to get slightly more life out of them. Our delete is allowing you to put the "LS7" non DFM style lifter to properly delete the DFM lifters.

If you can destroy a o-ring in a grow like that. Than the o-ring is too big. Looks like the flang is streel on steel. And the flang is thick. And full surface. The tread would rip before bending the flang.

More than likely that motor is being swapped from Direct injection to Port Injection so it doesn’t need the HPFP of the fuel lines on the valley cover.
