Great job - I would love to see a top down view so I could see both hands clearly.

Thanks, Steve! I haven't done top-down recordings in a while because of the extra set-up effort (i.e. laziness :-) If I get around to doing that for this piece, I'll let you know.

@@talaomacaxeirasmusicaljour4028 that would be wonderful. I'm getting a bit defeated by the middle section (32nd notes?).

Sounds great, nice tone and touch - for this being a stretch piece, you’re handling it well. Keep up your excellent work!🎹

I'm very impressed with your playing: great dynamics, great tone, and great clarity - I can hear all the notes in the harmony. Thanks for sharing.

you did really well with this one! how long had you been learning for before you attempted it (as in years)? I see the hours.

Sounds great! I just selected this piece to be my next challenge :). I believe we both learn in the same way and using these video's as a motivation. I hope to be recording this piece in a few months. Keep playing!

Hello Talão : in my humble opinion, the only way to break the monotony of this piece is to get rid ot a constant tempo, and to produce variations in the dynamics. Jean Joel Barbier is a good example, though i think he plays it too fast : kzbin.info/www/bejne/m6CkqXudoc2Umq8

Thank you, again! I paused my Bach work to focus on a Schubert piece that I got obsessed with (the Serenade). Gotta go back to Bach because he's the father of it all; plus great for finger independence.

Very nicely played! I personally prefer Clementi's Sonatinas over Beethoven's/Mozart's easier works. These definitely seem easier than they actually are as I remember spending quite a lot of time to learn the third Sonatina but they are really fun to play.

Thank you very much, Peter! I'm working on the second movement of the 1st sonatina now.

Obrigado, primo!

Nice job on the Gymnopedie, Talao. I'm glad the home recording turned out better than the 2nd recital :) I think once you play in enough recitals or workshops, you'll learn to plow through mistakes and not care, haha!

You should be proud of yourself! There's absolutely nothing tougher than playing in a live recital, especially from memory. Mistakes happen and it might take tens of these recitals before you feel comfortable but each one makes you a tiny bit better :)

It's good that you pushed through. I think you've handled it very well :). It's entirely natural to crash and burn in front of people, I do that even when I play my own pieces! I've watched the home recording as well, which is great, although didn't need any 'proof' that you can play it well, it was evident from the recital itself. Keep it up!
