I saw a tent camper for a mid size truck. it folds out left to right.I like that because im 6ft 4 in sleeping from front to back my bed is not long enough.( 2024 Nissan frontier extended cab) my bed is 6 ft 1 inch ish. plus if you want to remove it, it is easy to tale it out. I wish there was enough space for a pull out drawer from the back to put a camp stove, cutting board a small drawer for cooking utensils. I like a unit that you have storage to put your gear in one area so you don't have bags or storage boxes to deal with, but this unit was the closest thing ive seen that I like.

I like the fold out truck camper but there's nothing to it. if it had a slide out kitchen and portable potty as an option it would be too bad. still pricy for not much but a tent over your head. $18,000 no that nis too much I can see $6,000 yes. its just a tent.

I like the last camper. you can add a tent for added living space. they need to make the campers simple.a column stoves domitic fridge, port, a simple outdoor attached shower tent. simple LED lighting with a battery, if you want to add a power generator that can easily plug in. you can add on options as you have the money. having a fiberglass camper makes sense.

The reason why some cot is cheaper is bulky. if lighter , more expensive.

Why theres no outfit for pickup trucks that can have 6 ft of extend out from the truck bed to add more living space, then build it with fold dow, or crank down legs to support it. I mean 12 ft x 4 ft of living space is adequate then a 4x6 ft . If folks want hard top mobile living space, I suggest getting a van ..

Reading the comments, I see that a lot of folks are complaining that a $5K trailer is not affordable. Maybe they should be looking at tents or waiting a few years until they have a better handle on their financial situation?

This is too small and that extra seat needs to be removed.

None of these are what I'd consider cold weather RVs. 2" VS 3"+ walls, large single pane windows, too much plumbing from for bad layout, not heated pipes, no heat pump AC/heater combo, What E rating are the walls, roof and floor? What type of slide outs and how much air do they leak? What size furnace and what fuel? Equipped with radian flooring? You have to look behind then name like "Artic" or "4 season" and check the actual features.
