Kurt Vile WAS in the War on Drugs...but that was almost 15 years ago. He has since been a successful touring artist of his own with his band the Violators. Just wanna clear that up cuz I'm a die hard KV fan

MM can absolutely rock out/jam - they don’t have to be stuck in this dirge groove Isaac seems to have forgotten this. Less agile with more members. They were once so good, but every band eventually becomes a shadow of what they were

This is the shit. I heard MM when I was a teenager in NJ in like 98 on WPRB 103.3 . Moved to Portland Oregon in 2005, there for 20 ish years, became a Kurt fan too. Had to move back out east (outside Philly) but was at this show, it was, kind of a big deal.

Does that shirt say "Yngwie who?"?? Like Malmsteen? Lmao wtf
@funfacts282319 күн бұрын
Yeah! I want him to turn around and see if it says what my shirt said. My dad bought me a Yngwie shirt from their G3 tour back in the day, and the back said Yngwie fucking Malmsteen. I felt so badass as a teen wearing that.
@funfacts282319 күн бұрын
It does!!! It says YNGWIE FUCKING MALMSTEEN THAT'S WHO. hell yeah. Mine had different font. But maaan that makes me happy.

is this song about Sam from Love as Laughter?

I wondered about that as well. But the 7 years ago line, plus some other details, have me thinking it could be someone else

Oh so that's what the abrupt cut and restart was about. I heard Isaac mumble something about the sound being not right, but didn't make out what he actually said.

I'm really glad Isaac found positivity in golden casket, but regular ol downtrodden nihilistic Mouse is just so so good. Glad it's back.
@Canis_Fatalis3 ай бұрын
Yeah, I didn't love The Golden Casket in terms of style. But it was certainly unique. Nihilistic, instrumental Mouse = Best Mouse.

Wow great performance. Never thought I'd hear them perform this song live till I heard it in Columbia for the first time. During that performance he played an extended version of it. But it's kind of hard to understand what he's saying. He also played The extended version tonight as well at star light theater. Wonder why he didn't do the version for your crowd. Regardless so greatful we get to see all these deep cuts live. Seems they know what the Modest Mouse fans want. Which is amazing!

Can you make a playlist of the whole Modest Mouse play set from the Mann in Philly 6/12/24
@spitting_venom3 ай бұрын
Hey! There should be a playlist on my channel of everything I recorded. :) I'm missing 4 songs though: (most of) Tiny Cities Made of Ashes, Dashboard, Satin in a Coffin, and Float On. Wish I recorded it all! But there were some issues near me in the pit and I also tried taking pictures, so I missed a few!

I was at the very next show they played and when i saw the set they played in PA I was hoping so bad for waydown or broke but still got a good set not complaining. So weird jerimiah is gone i actually got to meet him before and after the show they did in brooklyn like 2 years back and got isaac and jerimiahs signature.

I was really hoping they would headline this year! Need some smaller venues and no seated sleeper stadium venues. At least not ones without an area to move around as intended.
