very helpful. you got me out of a jam. Wife and I were in the woods walking the dogs. she opened the same door and dang sure it wouldn't close. I could hear bending and stretching. I cut the cable just to get the door to shut. gonna go ahead and get the new cable and replace it. Again,.....Thanks a bunch.

YES! I followed this step by step today. The dealership wanted over $500 to fix my door I did it myself for about $65.00. I also fixed my HVAC fan for $149.00. All in all, took about 3 hours to complete both.

If that’s a PCV. Then it’s supposed to only let stuff out. It’s not supposed to block oil. It’s supposed to prevent gases and pressure from building up below the pistons which would increase the amount or oil sneaking up through piston rings and out other places it shouldn’t go.

When I buy that car I'm gonna do it only once: take off the cable, disconnect the motor and beeper. I'd rather open and close this door manually, than get stuck in the middle of trip. I had such problems with 2000 Toyota Sienna, when I went to my break during my working hours. I had only 10 minutes to figure out what doesn't let my door to close, unhook the cables and put everything back. I don't need the power door. I can close it with my hand.

Them 600 700 and 800 Polaris motors are hot garbage I despise them Lol

So im diagnosing step by step like you and ive gotten her to run and idle but after watching your video i notice that i am missing part of the crank case breather. The clear chamber looks fine but there seems to be a hose that broke off under a c clamp that came directly out of filter. Wondering where that line should lead. I looked for any hanging tubing and couldnt see anything. Great vid. Helped out tremendously

You didn’t remove the washer that’s on the govern wheel shaft. It will vibrate and ruin the engine eventually.

A high uncontrollable idle means the mixture is too lean. Could be an air leak. Take carburetor cleaner and spray around the intake on the engine side of the carb. Listen for the idle drop. If it sucks in carb cleaner the idle with temporarily drop. Replace whatever is causing the leak. There should be a fuel mixture screw as well, it could be under a plug. If it is on the air cleaner side turning it in will richen the mixture if its on the engine side of the carb turning it out will richen it.

Nice video. Waiting for my 2013 sienna doors to blow. I avoid opening the side doors as much as possible the last 10 years knowing this problem. Always use the rear. Of course don’t have small kids. Good vehicle otherwise!

Getting the efi version next year. Avoiding the carb hassle.

Mines had the same timing slap and eventually stopped running. When I tried turning it back on you can hear a slap but still with compression. In order to put it back on timing would I have to take the motor apart or what would I have to do.

How are you going to repair anything when you don't understand the mechanics of the choke?! You now have it in the on position which helps you start it and then you move it right to the off position to see if it stay running! It will not go nor sound right when you give it gas! 😂😭🤣😭😂😭🤣

I had an old MG Midget, with a failing starter motor. It was hilarious, if I and it stalled in traffic, Kendal out of the car, throw open the bonnet, and wail on the starter motor, with a plumbers wooden mallet! I got some weird looks! Shouting, "Start you bastard!" Didn't help!

So nobody is going to mention the spider(?) that was chilling on the starter and jumped over at around 5 seconds? EDIT: I'm not sure what that is, but it's not a spider....

Ive gotten away with a free fix i have a couple old mower starers and the brushes are close to the size of small atv starters if its to big file it it will work

the motor brushes contact the commutator bars. the entire internal piece that spins would be the armature.
