How do you come up with the concepts for your videos?
@BoxingNotebook8 сағат бұрын
So I am fortunate and have a couple of really solid training partners that deal with my obsession of boxing. Ha! We do partner drills, spar, etc. In order for us to dial in on the partner drills I write out the exact sequence. Similarly to how I show at the end of the vid but with more detail. Then we drill it. So really it's something I've always done. If you check out this vid below notice the sheets hanging up around the ring. Those are the partner drills. kzbin.info/www/bejne/d2S1nnWApMmbsMU

Thanks for reaching out @deeeplygoated4261! Like the handle. So I try to focus in on one guy and just clip out the stuff I find interesting. Not sure if my ADD kicks in but I can't watch both fighters at the same time. Anyway I started with Hearns...but immediately realized Doug was giving Hearns problems. I stopped, restarted and watch Doug instead. He really has skill. Hearns was in a fight for sure. Here is another short on him kzbin.infoTJRPMJO5vew

For the fighter these are instincts that can’t be taught. I think internal time moves differently for some esp elite world class boxers.

I completely agree. Sugar Ray's record was 175 - 19 - 6. If I had to put a formula to it. It would be something like: reps + obsession + high athletic ceiling. That is a crazy amount of professional fights (reps)...with those reps he pick up patterns and sequences ...thinking about it all of the time (obsession)..then having all of the natural athletic ability (high ceiling).
