Your problem has been that you don't have RotoTilt and therefore the possibility manipulate the bucket. And you don't get the idea of an articulating joint in the middle. You thought that skidsteers are the ultimate machine but you are getting on the wheel loader team slowly. Same here: you will get on the Lännen/Huddig/Hydrema team even if it takes some time. The JCB 4CX is not bad, but waaay behind Lännen/Huddig/Hydrema...

I apologize to anyone who likes skid steers in advance of my comments. This CASE thing has the same exact problem as every other skid steer. You sit too low in it, and the visability to the sides and rear is terrrible. I have a CAT skid steer with rubber tracks. I hate it. It is near dangerous to back up on a jobsite compared to an actual dozer or real track loader that you can see all around you. It never runs right due to that stupid Perkins engine instead of an actual industrial engine made by CAT. Plus they are weak weak. Sure you can attach 1000 different implements to the front of it, but most of them don't work very well. The bucket on them is too small. They don't hold very much dirt. The rubber treads wont get the traction of steel tracks, and they get torn up if you aren't on smooth grass. They don't dig well at all. The grapple bucket is pretty nice, but an excavator with a thumb does about 10x as much work. Pallet forks are nice, but you can't see what you are lifting, and you can't get out of the cab with the load lifted. Some kind of bushhog or mulcher might be good but not compared to a real ag tractor. You think you can load trucks? Please. Maybe one of those little dump trailers you tow behind your pickup truck. You will be looking through the ceiling trying to load a tandem dump truck, and it will take about 50 buckets full and 45 minutes. A skid steer is a joke compared to a dedicated machine like a dozer.

Utter politically-driven nonsense! The very idea that folks take this seriously speaks volumes about public education, in general. Having spent a career in the EE field, I can tell you that there will likely never be a battery power source available to the public that can do what is expected of construction equipment; namely, work under extreme loading for as long as you supply diesel fuel to it. There's no doubt in my mind that CAT can demonstrate the capabilities of battery-powered machinery - under ideal conditions - but when it comes to operating this type of machinery in extreme weather conditions, especially in extreme cold, there's simply nothing presently available that can match the [practically unlimited] performance of diesel-powered heavy machinery ... and don't even get me started on operating electric machinery in remote areas.

All electric is not the problem. The problem here is how do you program and control it so it can work autonomously. If you solve that problem, then they will have a killer app but without it this is at best an extremely niche product that is likely little more than a marketing concept, not engineering reality.

It may be the “future,” but no one was paying any attention to it. If it’s pure electric, you’ve made a mistake.

I figured it was. But most contractors will be concerned by actual runtime. I mean I can’t rent an excavator if the temp is going to be in the 30 f or below because mini’s hydraulic system don’t like it. Wait until you try a run an electric when battery run time limits you to 2 hours of actually use. Battery and charging systems aren’t ready yet. Hybrid might work, but it’s not any better then fuel.

The speaker for the Bluetooth needs to be moved. You can't talk to nobody on the phone. The machine is too heavy in the back. It will pop a wheelie on steep inclines and not that steep. The counterweights will not help that machine. It is already overweighted for the horsepower of the machine I've operated about every machine out there and this machine seems to be delayed on the joysticks similar to some caterpillar skid, steers and extremely jerky no matter the settings you do to the controls

@@ironpros 😊 further development and land management of our mountain farm in Kentucky. Plans for helping the community with trees that fall unexpectedly, harvesting other timber, help with drainage from occasional flooding and moving barns are also on the table. We're also need to build our home, other buildings and storage shelters into the mountain. The first thing we plan on doing is moving our home up on the mountain top. Many of our neighbors are elderly and miss going to the top. They tell stories of the last time the went up and how they held a ceremony to say goodbye to that part of their lives... I think I would be fun to bring them up to the top with it too. I'd just love to see their faces as the look out over the Knobs. 💟

Power is power. A planetary system uses a high speed, low torque hydraulic motor. Direct drive motors are low speed, high torque. They both consume about the same amount of power.

So when we show up on a bare piece of land with no infrastructure (no electrical power) to prep the site for a building at the end of the day we will have to trailer these electrics back to our yard to charge overnight? What about when we have jobs out of town? Out of state? Would it be better for us to have a generator truck with a propane or nat gas generator to power up charge stations so we can charge at night? !
