Wagashi is so fascinating. It’s art that touches multiple senses, not just sight but also touch and taste. I love how each wagashi type is inspired by Japanese classical paintings, literature, and culture. It’s story telling through afternoon tea.

I love Japan’s wagashi culture. It’s art, story telling, as well as cuisine. “People aren’t capable of being angry and eating something sweet at the same time.” Wagashi is created and enjoyed to bring joy and delight. 🥰
