Have you learned you can change your stance depending on where the ball is in the zone? Closed is best for outside and open is better for inside. Squared can do both pretty well.

The #1 thing I want to see them add is being able to chose your batting line up. In the original your batting line up was the order of your picks which was not good. This made it so you didn't want to first pick people with high bating like Pablo or Kiesha because if they got a home run they would just get 1 point. In Baseball you usually want 1 or 2 people on base before you bring in a big hitter. And this is something that would be easy to add to the game so I have high hopes it will be added.

You can absolutely adjust your batting order in Backyard Baseball. I’ve done it many times throughout my videos. Are you talking about the original Backyard Baseball from 1997? Because in 2001 and 2003 you clearly can do it.

Brandi Chastain, Briana Scurry, and Tiffany Milbrett were all playable in Backyard Soccer. There may have been more but I don’t remember lol. What I do remember is having Briana Scurry on my Sloths AFC team which was made of the slowest playable characters. She was… slow.

The Patriots and Panthers were particularly hard, so their choices are kind of meme-y. (Lowkey though, I'd probably have Johnny Hekker on my team.) I was able to keep it to only 5 QBs, and they are all QBs athletic enough to be useful on offense and defense, which was not always the case in past Backyard Football games. I wish I had more RBs and TEs, but the NFL isn't really that set up to have superstar RBs anymore unfortunately, and most of the top TEs are not the top superstar on their team. Travis Kelce, Sam LaPorta, Mark Andrews, and George Kittle were all my 2nd choice on their respective teams. I don't have any representation for off-ball linebackers. I considered replacing Mike Evans with Lavonte David just to have one. Both players are pretty iconic Buccaneers. I think I got a pretty solid mix of offensive and defensive players. I think I would be happy with this group of players for a Backyard Football game.

Really great diversity here for sure, much more so than most previous Backyard Football titles. Regarding possible alternates, I do think Joe Burrow would also be a likely choice to represent the Bengals.

I personally don't want Tyreek Hill because I believe he broke his 3 year old's arm in 2019. I don't think he'd play nice with Ronny, Kimmy, and some of the younger backyard kids.

I am pretty excited about the news. I think I am a little cautious just because we are in the remake era like you mentioned. If they take this approach with a lot of love and care, then I am very excited about what they will do. I am a bit hesitant for now because I have heard that this is a very small studio at the moment and they don't have any real history behind them yet. In terms of pros I have heard that the Kelce brothers have expressed a love for the series as well as JJ Watt so I can see pro players being in the games. I think working with the actual organizations like the MLB, NFL, and so in would be the road bump for the pros. Honestly just eagerly waiting for more news right now, fingers crossed that it is an actual full revival of the series.

My lineups are always this... Ernie Steele at 3rd. 6 running plus 10 fielding is elite for 3rd base. Pete Wheeler at SS. Super speed and very strong fielding. Stephanie Morgan at 2nd base. Strong skills at 7 running and 8 fielding. Best first baseman probably might just be Keisha Phillips. Girl is big and has solid enough fielding. As for catcher I'm just gonna have to go with the man the myth the legend himself Achmed Khan solely because his fielding is putrid but the kid is a top 5 hitter in the game. That spot is practically his bread and butter position. Only weakness is if the opposing team tries to go for a steal it's not gonna be pretty. And pitching for me is always Luanna Lui. Girl is a great leadoff hitter or does well in the back of the order thanks to her speed. Great pitching. Outfield is always going to be Pablo Sanchez in left, Vicki Kawaguchi in center and Jocinda Smith in right. Most hitters are right handed in this game and they'll almost always be forced to hit to left or center field. I never give them chances with left hooks. Jocinda doesn't have the speed but has the fielding to be good out in the right field for what it's worth. Batting order: 1. Vicki Kawaguchi 2. Pete Wheeler 3. Jocinda Smith 4. Achmed Khan 5. Pablo Sanchez 6. Keisha Phillips 7. Ernie Steele 8. Stephanie Morgan 9. Luanne Lui Pretty strong lineup once you get past Ernie. Dude doesn't have the power or running ability to do much offensively. I've considered replacing him with someone slightly better but he always does too well for me at 3rd. Elite running at 9, 1 and 2 to allow the heart of the lineup to crush the balls to bring them all in once the rotation comes back to the top. Vicki I always leadoff bunt every single time. She gets on base 80% of the time at the start of games with no one on base. Pete running behind her allows for a double steal for 3rd and 2nd when Jocinda is batting. Achmed, Pablo and Keisha all afterwards guarantee a score at the start of every game. Smart pitching with Luanne always results in at worst close games for you to win. If Luanna runs out of juice I just put her over at 1st base, switch Keisha to 3rd and Ernie to pitch in. Definitely lose some good spacing but it's solid enough.
