i couldn't agree in any way - i learned about this method from the internet ans find ist very impressive as an engineer - but i strongly believe thta no politician will ever use this method at all - and thats really disappointing to me. I could also not see how to use this for any profession - maybe politician consultants would be helpful way because you can better unbderstand in which way things went wrong which you couldn't plan.

I am interested in this field.

I am studying Governance and Public Policy in Pakistan. I am deeply interested in Economics, while watching a video by Prof Steve Keen on Economics, he said you should study System Dynamics intead of Economics and apply it in your field. Thats how I got here, looking to study System Dynamics and make some contribution.

I took Dr. Sterman's System Thinking class via MIT's XPro online extension program. I found him to be an inspiring teacher. He understands the frustrations of limited mental models, and of corporate cultures that discourage nonlinear thinking.

Before anything you would have to be aligned with orbit in order to restore the climate activity here on Earth. I process I have active within my consciousness on a daily basis. without the cooperation of "orbit" nothing of our ecosystem gets restored. This is a great presentation, can we apply it for understanding in system dynamics for drinking water supply sustainability?

A wonderful example of the power of applying system dynamics modeling in a real world policy setting.

This is one example of why I quit the Systems Dynamics Society several years ago. The modelers do not seem to get the concept of "complex adaptive systems" (i.e. living systems). Systems Dynamics can help us to understand those systems, but it does not provide a tool for managing them. For these systems to perform effectively and efficiently the elements of such systems (individual humans) must make their own choices.
