The problem with the USA is it doesn't know who their enemy is. Imagine calling China their best friend in Asia. Frankly, it's pathetic and laughable.

One thing that everyone should have to know about is. Is that it's never actually a good idea to invade Russia.

In USA we gave kids plastic guns to play with. In Germany the kids got real tanks, guns, etc. AND got to play in the biggest "party" the world has ever known. This was a kid's dream come true...(putting aside the fact that they were utterly betrayed by a leader gone insane, and sent to their deaths for no reason and told to hold with no support when they would be better off in tactical retreat/fight again tomorrow).

The Narrator makes 1 mistake: He says that Hitler invaded Russia on the 21st of june. That must be the 22nd of june 1941.

😉 My father was wounded twice by the Germans, yet he had more respect for them than he did for our weakling allies, the French and British.

This is a great documentary series. Although narrator said something that is completely absurd. The US Navy had around 800 ships in 1941. They had close to 7000 ships in 1945. A third attack run by the Japanese would’ve had no discernible impact on the war. Had the carriers been there, had the carriers been sunk, then yes. The war in the Pacific would’ve lasted several more years in my opinion. But they could have sunk every ship in that harbor and the US would have had 6,900 ish ships in 45. Once the industrial giant was awakened, no ambush sneak attack was gonna have any influence on the outcome of that war.

Today we celebrated our city of Helmond being liberated by the allies 80 years ago. A few of the still living veterans were there for the ceremony. The mayor explained how 20 000 allied soldiers were taken in by the population of our city after our country was liberated. Most were hosted with civilians in their house. Market Garden is still celebrated here every year with a parade of ww2 vehicles driving the route towards the north.

I love how Russia and Germany invade Poland but England and France only declare war on Germany.... 🤔 🧐🤔 Hmmmmmm....
@remy12
@remy12 Сағат бұрын
If you read the written agreement it says protection from Germany specifically invading Poland, nothing about the Soviet Union. Not to mention either the Soviets went in 2 weeks after Germany invaded and with basically no opposition, they just crossed the border and seized the territory they had agreed to get from Germany.

The best WW II docu I have seen on the No Africa campaign! Brilliant! My father was a RCAF 417 Sqn Spitfire F/L (and POW) who was shot down by German Ace Gerhard Michelski during the battle of Tunisia. This gives me a good perspective on what he went through.

Hitler was an idiot. I would’ve had the 6th Army dig in on the northern bank of the Volga to blunt all thrusts from the Red Army while my southern army made its dash towards the Caucasus oil fields.

So if the sudetanland was Texas and Arizona and Nevada and USA gave them to Mexico (technically back but put that aside) and Mexicans started murdering and raping Americans... would we look at the Americans the same way as we look at the Germans for taking back those states?? I'm just saying
