Being able to read early is only one part of school. Kindergarten is a great place to learn how to cut and fold paper, paint, sharpen pencils, play instruments and work in a group.

The answer of $100 is wrong and here is why: For a matter of perspective and clarity; In this case you can summerize the problem as a theif/customer who refused to pay $100 for $100 worth of goods and paid $70 instead but used the stores own 💰 money to pay for it. Therefore the store recovered $70 of that $100 stolen from the cash register and therefore only $30 was effectively stolen from that register at the end of the day. But wait.....not so fast....I'm getting it...hold your horses... The value of merchandise is still not recovered because it was paid for with the stores own money and has a retail worth of $70 as determined by the store. Having said that.... Cost basis of the goods determines how much they lost on the merchandise so the answer is unknowable until you know the markup of the goods. So lets say the $70 worth of goods has a 25% markup then it means the cost basis of the goods is $56 ($56 x1.25 = $70.) Therefore the stores actual loss on the goods is $56 because the goods didn't cost $70. Now add that to the $30 effectively stolen from the cash register and you have a total loss of $86. Similarly... So lets say the $70 worth of goods has a 100% markup then it means the cost basis of the goods is $35 ($35 x 2 = $70.) Therefore the stores actual loss on the goods is $35 because the goods didn't cost $70. Now add that to the $30 effectively stolen from the cash register and you have a total loss of $65. So again...a more accurate answer is to say the total loss for the store cant be determined until you know the markup the store used for the merchandise. The answer of $100 is only correct if the cost basis of the merchandise is $70. So I ask you - who would sell merchandise at $70 with a cost basis of $70?

When i was in kindergarten i had a very forgiving and kind teacher but we had a substitute and basically i was getting water and my classmate made me laugh and i spit a couple drops of water and before i could clean it up my classmate told on me and basically in our school we had behavior charts with clothing pins with our name on it and purple was best red was worst and at the end of the week if we were on purple all week we would get some kind of candy i don't remember but it was Thursday and i would get candy the next day but so my classmate told on me and the sub not only scolded me but put me down to red so yeah 😭👍

A+ parenting not forcing your kid up the bell tower and the leaning tower of Pisa. It’s so refreshing to see parents respect their kid’s boundaries and not invalidate their fears

It is especially odd when you are dress coding a five year old for wearing a certain color. As if the kindergartener is trying to join a gang because they are wearing blue or red. Then older girls hitch their shorts up so high that it is ick. Then when in the office pull return them to normal.

I was put into the gifted kid program where an already present- but not terribly noticeable- problem became VERY obvious when I joined the program. I lagged behind (as in, I learned slower) the other students, and the program was clearly built for students who could grasp the concepts they were being taught very fast, so I was often left behind and very lost. I always failed to perform well in the program. Years later, I was diagnosed with ADHD.

I think it's weird in grade school. But the HS kids here show up in undergarments as top(not they are not tops..they like to see if they can get away with it)..or in pajamas and bonnets..and even wrapped in blankets. They finally had to tell parents to stop letting kids drag blankets down the hall wrapped around their kids because it was a trip hazard. That's just a bit much.

Idc if my kids know if their teachers is gay or stright . I'm gay but what I have issue with and have ran into 1x. Is over stepping boundaries with what my kids are told and educated on. When I send my kids to school it's to learn school stuff . Nothing wrong with students knowing a teachers family at all. Thank you for being a teacher and teaching are kids.

My school didnt have a gifted program and im honestly thankful for that. I got put into accelerated stuff once i hit middle school and now i have straight honors/ap as a sophomore and it was nice to just be a kid. Gifted people are smart naturally but its draining to be expected to live up to those expectations especially so young
