Think about it, poor Gin never got to fully experience the love of his father like he longed to the whole show. When he finally got the chance to bond with his father and get to know him more, Akakabuto ripped it to pieces. Gin had to watch his father die before he could experience his love I also think about all the losses in the show when I hear this song. Akatora, Benizakura, Riki, Terry, Hyena, etc. This is such a sad song

Saw this anime back in the late 80s/begininning of the 90s fist time in my life back in Denmark...still watch the series to this date... actually..this series, Cyborg009 (the 1979 edition) Robotech, StarZinger, and some other anime series one could rent at the local WHS-store(or watch ony Sky-channel and so on) was what made me such a great anime-fan as i am today :)

I remember watching this series on an old vhs tape at my grandmas around 2012 when i was 6. So much nostalgia is attached to this series for me, and the older i become the more and more i appreciate the touching story telling with many deep and important messages about life in it that i learned through this series. This song always makes me tear up without fail. 10/10. Thank you for making my childhood what it was Gin.

Tää kappale ja koko sarja ylipäätään pisti junnuna aivan paskaksi, oli niin koskettava ja sydäntä riipivä mutta silti niin koukuttava. Tuli katsottua moneen kertaa niin suomeksi dubattu kuin alkuperäinenkin versio. Ohhoh

I found the dvd version for the whole show. All of the 21 episodes, uncut and uncensored. Currently watching that show. The nostalgia is unreal and it was better than I remembered. Maybe because I grew up with the not so good Finnish version

No matter how many generations come by this song will always be saddening. Such a master piece created for GNG. Makes ya kinda wish they remastered it for GDW, as a rather nostalgia for the older fans that watched GNG first.
