Its not economically viable to do this because it hasnt been perfected. However, i think we should fund more reaearch on this subject and try to figure out more efficient ways of converting plastic to energy. Instead of using energy just to dump the plastic into the ocean.

It is true but it's completely unfeasible. The energy required isn't worth the trouble.
@packagingunboxd2 күн бұрын
Sometimes it's about the amount of material this can eliminate from the planet while yes taking more energy to do so than the energy captured. But we're kind of running out of options with so much plastic waste that can't be recycled already covering the planet.
@Mitsoumi212 күн бұрын
@@packagingunboxd You realize that's not really true either tho right? Recycling plastic has the same issue.. Money.. (Cost) Most recycling now is actually a scam.. Uk has a recycling bin that's now sent to the exact same place as the general waste. There's probably a million issues we could solve if humans weren't so incredibly greedy.
@packagingunboxd2 күн бұрын
@@Mitsoumi21 That's kind of the point, even if pyrolysis is a net negative on energy, it's a positive on eliminating a material that we don't have a way to get rid of yet continue to keep producing. I rather look at some of these new alternatives than continue to push for recyclables that don't get recycled besides paper. Or we need to stop consuming so much crap.

It cost more to make a liter of petrol than buy a liter of petrol. Thats the reason why the govt isn't utilizing this method. You literally have to shred the recycled plastic then put it inside the pressured chamber and heat it which costs more money doing that. So in reality it is good for reducing the plastic but not economical.

It’s not entirely wrong, various petrochemicals derived from crude oil are used to make plastics, however there’s no economically viable option for recollecting the small amount of potential “fuel” remaining in the material. You’ll spend more energy trying to convert plastics to a usable energy than you would get from it. As well as create chemical pollution in the process. Ntm benzopyrene and poly aromatic hydrocarbons are cancerous, as well as poisonous, which is what he is releasing with his torch. This info has been known since the 40’s. I applaud him for trying to solve the problem, hope he continues to learn.

I myself have been in situations that SUCK because of naively missing out some steps. I've had near misses too. The C4C solution with a subscription that allows you to first ask questions and understand the landscape and landmines, is the best solution I've seen out there.

how many software i need to learn as a packaging designer?such as PS,Ai,aotocad,Artioscad..
@packagingunboxd10 күн бұрын
Minimum is Adobe illustrator. You can create templates and layouts as well as vector graphics for printing. Next level you want to master Adobe illustrator, photoshop, indesign (but not so much) Next level is artios or solidworks. I never learned any 3D CAD software and it has not affected my career at all. If I need 3D files I just hire someone to do it and I focus on the design.

Open source is where the power is in the hands of the people. Keep the scale smaller so it is more accessible. Sell Crowdfund/Patreon/Membership for development. Sell performance Consultation for profit. The closer the plant is to the point of consumption of the feed stock, the less plastic waste will end up in the oceans. How much waste would have to be produced for a Container Ship to produce enough to fuel its engines for 12 hours in ?
