with the Journals & Seals, what they are is 'safe money'; You can't loose them when You die so long as they are still Journals & Seals. Its best to save them for when actually needing to make a purchase, though many think 'I'll never loose all my money', & sell them all whenever they happen to be near the guy;

I remember Luna Bomber being an absolute BEAST in BS Grand Prix, top speed slightly lower than stingray and an insane acceleration. I would love to play those vehicles in 99 but i can see that they would be a bit too unbalanced

Yeah, I imagine they tried to keep things "simple" with F-Zero 99, hence just the four machines from the original game, and why the BS Grand Prix machines are just skins for the existing four lol.

Pro tip: When G is going to break down the door, if you just run right into it while he's doing it, you won't take damage and get a head start on getting through that hall once it's broken.
