The chord changes are incorrect. In the second row it is G7 G7 D7 D7. Not : G7 G7 G7 G7

It’s in D

It's on C bro. On D, you'll just be able to use a few scales and the D Major scale won't fit. Search for the C Major scale if you don't know it, play over the backingtrack and you'll realice what I'm saying.

@@JamTracksChannel So it's not on C major? A blues in D? Never heard of that. So you play it in the wrong key and it sounds good fot you? I'm lost here. Or is it something special that you use as names in the USA where the blues is from? If it's on D how people figure out the major scale is the C Major? I hope you can answer me so I keep learning. Bye and thank you!

Some fun ideas I like over a G dominant chord: 1: Playing Dorian from the 5th, so D dorian in this case, and occasionally treating it like a 2 5 1 resolving to C (inside sound) 2: Playing a diminished arpeggio from the 3rd, 5th or 7th (and b9) to get a G7b9 sound (slightly outside) 3: Playing the Maj7b5 arpeggio from the b7 of the chord, so Fmaj7b5, to get all the inside extensions. 4: Playing the Maj7b5 arpeggio from the maj3rd, so Bmaj7b5, to get all the outside extensions (gives an altered sound) 5: Major triad pairs from the b7 and 1, so F maj and G maj. 6. Minor triad pairs from the 5 and 6, so D minor and E minor. 7. Dominant bebop scale. 8. Ab melodic minor?? Perhaps a bit too outside for this backing track. What else are you guys doing?
@JamTracksChannel23 күн бұрын
Lot of great ideas! The lydian dominant mode and diminished scale are also working great.

Seems like G to me !
@ruculeishonКүн бұрын
@@VivianGeneRodgers try playing the G major scale over it and you'll realice THAT YOU CAN'T. So, it's in F major. It's a G Dorian, which comes after F Ionian. The Ionian will always give you the song's Key. And if it was a Minor composition, would be in D Minor.
@dakinmaher452229 күн бұрын
Best practice. The blues. Play all the notes. Try em phrygian for G7 emb5 for C7 & em aeolian for D7. Substitute other modes like above. Open up worlds, level up, journey far. All with the good old blues ❤ Rock on everbody
