Underrated guitarrist imo, everyone speaks about Danny, Justin or Maynard and Adam is like a secondary character, terrible mistake he´s creativity on guitar is mindblowing
@vocecaiunocontodomalakoi75412 ай бұрын
They are all essential to the band sound, tool would be nothing without Adam textures and great rhythms
@chronicsmith11152 ай бұрын
The more I learn about Tool's process, the more I believe that the majority of Tool songs began life as an Adam Jones riff. There are of course notable exceptions.
@sqrpusher2415 күн бұрын
underrated guitarrist for comercial/shredder guitarrist world imo. Jones stepped outside the current stereotype just like as danny, justin or maynard. just hear what he does! anybody else before him had ever done some similar. he's revolutionary. the thing its that guitarrist world its quite hermetic

so, he's using a distortion or an overdrive?

the bass is very audible in the intro.
@JCMusicVids3 ай бұрын
@@majidamiri8495 Yup, its hard to isolate due to Justin playing an octave up in the intro vs the rest of the bass line. This video is meant for tone matching purposes for the AXE FXIII, which the rest of the song is useful for.

Adam's tone on this album is incredible

I remember everyone crying about how digital it sounded and they hated it. This was when this was prereleased as a single before the album. For 2 or 3 months Tool fans were in despair over this guitar tone.

Im joking with the other comment, why are you using gloves? Im new at bass, and i know a few songs, but are you using gloves to not get hurt? to get a different sound? to be more precise at playing the chords? AND, i want to buy an interface to star uploading my covers but i dont know anything about interfaces
@JCMusicVids11 ай бұрын
It started out as a way to save my left hand from getting shredded up from practicing everyday, since I am left-handed and fret lefty as well. Eventually I just got used to playing with it, but nowadays I dont practice as long so I dont use it as much. It does make it easier to mute the other strings when recording to get a cleaner sound though. I recorded this using an iRig 2 and my ipad lol, nowadays I use amplitube and my fractal system as an interface. The focusrite scarlett solo is a really good interface that a lot of youtubers use as well.
@SarithAlejandraMoreno-jv4oi11 ай бұрын
@@JCMusicVids Tysm for answering my doubts, my dad is left handed as well and he used to do this sometimes as well, but never asked. I'll search prices and stores for buying an interface and starting somewhere, im inspired now.

Its a PRS SE Kingfisher, but I swapped the pickups to a set of passive Seymour Duncan’s so it may sound a little different if you decide to get one. Its a great bass! highly recommend it.

You play with a glove. Do you have a metal and nickel allergy? Is it generally better to play with gloves? How long does the glove last? Thank you in advance if you share your experience with me.
@JCMusicVids Жыл бұрын
Theres a few reasons. Recording with a glove on the fretting hand cuts down on a lot of fret buzz from being heard in the final mix. I also tend to play for hours at a time before recording, so the glove keeps my hands in good shape until I get a good take. Also my fretting hand is my dominant hand, and I prefer not having my fingers shredded up when I have to write notes for school and all that fun stuff. They’re great if you play for long periods of time / daily.
