I just got back into collecting and I'm tring to figure out the best sleeves to use. I remember the standard plastic ones from my childhood would often leave damage on the corners of the cards when inserting them, making them essentially worthless. Any advice you can give would be much appreciated.

I would always grade a 1/1, it always looks better in a slab. Good sub, congrats! BTW, the Achane variation had a dimple with a dent in it. PSA always gives those 9s, it wasn't the centering.

The service level won’t affect the speed or your grades. The graders are hourly workers. You’re overthinking it

Did you buy those cards singly or did you spend a ton of money buying boxes to get those carss? You got some nice ones. Also if you sell all those graded cards will you make your money back paying for the grades and make a profit also?

i went to the post office and notified my post master. its a federal crime to use the post office to defruad people out of their money.

Getting a 10 on a die-cut card is so hard, that Jordan Love select purple is a solid card to get that on. I've been doing 60-90 card submissions with CGC, not as much of a gut punch when you get a low grade.

I just had a guy send me a damaged card he tried to blame shipping but package was fine then he bought one of my cards of course I canceled then he left negative feedback which I had eBay erase but they wouldn't delete the negative rating so now I went from 100 to 99.5 and eBay won't change it what sense does that make

Don't give negative feedback. That should be for something that you can't resolve with seller. I got a fake card shipped to me. Seller said it wasn't fake but it clearly was. Got my money back but I didn't leave negative. Seller blocked me though even though it wasn't my fault it was fake..

Great communication with the seller. He is fairly new and was concerned about shipping insurance. He has now ordered bubble mailers and will adjust his shipping process. Positive feedback left. I hate leaving negative feedback unless the transaction is a scam or the seller is a monster.

That is very strange. It is always the opposite. Sellers charging 4-6 for shipping and purchasing a .64 cent stamp. This is the opposite he paid the ground cost with real tracking and just threw it in an envelope like he did not care or maybe he ran out of bubble mailers.

You are missing something on the cards. I personally have cracked and resubmitted with success but I usually crack othet companies and send to PSA. I will crack 8s amd below IF i think he was graded wrong especially modern cards.

Psa be a fool not to record cards with serial numbers on them. They do population control to make their cards worth more, why would they lower their brand by saying a specific card is a 7 and then say it's a 9. The only cards I have that I'd send in are serial numbered so maybe I'm just foolish and don't trust them blindly.

Would recommend checking out CGC. Can grade for half the cost and the slabs look great. Not as much of a gut punch. Would recommend a few bright ring lights and a 10x magnifying glass review before submitting. Back of the cards can weigh a lot in the grade, easy to miss when the front looks perfect.

The LT is not a licensed autograph correct? It's in person, so they won't grade the card without authenticating the auto, would be dual service for it

The qualifer (MK) for "Marks" usually means there is a pen or pencil writing on the card. It very unusual for a modern card, but for vintage back in the day (before there was grading) people would, for whatever reason, write stuff on cards. Back in the 70's, my little sister came with a brilliant idea to write her name on the back of all her Star Wars cards, just so everybody would know they were hers. Ouch! So, I'm not sure those divots are the reason for the qualifier. I'm sure you didn't write on the card, but you didn't show the back... could there maybe be some stray mark on the back somewhere? From just looking at the Swift card, I can tell you for certain that it will not get a 10. The centering is pretty far off top/bottom. At 15:08 ...if you look at the thickness of the blue borders on each corner... the top is twice as thick as the bottom. With centering like that, you're looking at an 8 at best. Add in any other issues... it'll just drop the grade further. I send around 2000 cards a year to PSA, and honestly... that centering tool is a waste of time. Not saying you shouldn't use it, but it's not difficult to eyeball 60/40 or better centering. Some card designs can make it tricky, so you just have to know what to look at. I see a lot of videos where people have focused on the left/right centering (it naturally stands out more), but they pretty much overlook the top/bottom. I find it helps if you turn the card sideways when evaluating. PSA has damaged only a handful of my cards in the past. Fortunate for me, the cards they damaged weren't very valuable (under $20 raw), so I just took the hit. In most of the instances, the damage was done during the "sealing" process. The card wasn't completely inside the grooves when the two slab parts were sandwiched together, and it crimped the card along the side. It was obvious to tell that's what happened, and I probably could have filed a claim, but just didn't wan't to mess with it. If one of the cards had been more valuable... I would have. The biggest mistake I see people making when evaluating cards to grade... it's not looking at the back of the card more closely. Scratches, divots, and even hairline creases seem to get overlooked a lot. People are quick to blame a bad grade on the grader, but most times it's because something was missed by the card owner. I've had lots of instances were I've cracked & resubmitted a PSA 9 that came back as a PSA 10, and even had a few PSA 8's become PSA 9's... but usually when a modern card grades a PSA 8 or lower, there's a good reason... significant imperfections. Anyway... like the video, and good luck with future grading. Just be careful sending in those $1-$2 cards... where even if you get a PSA 10, it's still not worth the grading cost. In those situations, you're better off just buying a PSA 10.

try resubmitting cards without serial numbers. They might have records of serial numbered cards that's been graded. There are videos that show different grades after resubmitting

Awesome video man! I had the same problem recently got back an order some 7s and 8s luckily hit a numbered mahomes gem 10 to save me. I think it’s a combination of PSA grading a little harder and Panini having poor quality lots of tiny dimples in the surface right out of the packs pretty lame

I have seen worse and I feel your anger because these companies seem like they do not care about the collector.

Lots of factors that go into grading, edges, surface - damage and cleanliness - corners, centering can all ding your cards. And if you're sending RPA's just expect an 8.

Your cards look pretty dang good.. I've submitted 40 cards to them recently and I think my cards are decent enough to get 9s or 10s but now watching this got me a lil worried. I want to say you got the same grade back just because your cards are numbered. I'm pretty sure they keep track of stuff like that. Anyway, thanks for the video.

Awesome Mcglaurin Patch. Rough grades my man. PSA can definitely be brutal at times. Was the one of one a purchase or pack pulled? Possible the seller altered the card or used Kurts Card Care. They are looking for that now.

I just got my first submission. out of 20 cards, 17 psa 10, 2 9s and a 8. I sent different various cards to make it a bit interesting. To me personally it makes a bit for fun for the grader. and yes PSA do give 8.5 but thats the only .5 I have a 90's insert that 8.5. Enjoyed watching your reveals

PSA sucks. SGC or TAG is the only way to go.
