Every batrep of the old world i watch it is incredibly nostalgic for the older editions of whfb I played, where the units actually playing WHFB, marching around in blocks, who you spend dozens of hours slogging through batch painting do absolutely nothing while the 4-5 mounted heroes on either side make absolutely everything happen. Its a lot like what people incorrectly imagine age of sigmar is.

Great to see a couple buddies having fun with this hobby. I also like the way they’ve presented the gist of the game with enough detail and flavor, but without letting the video run too long for viewers to enjoy. Good sportsmanship, food looking armies and dang impressive spell effect models.

Awesome battle report with beautiful models and scenery! You played it right with the Zombie Dragon Giving Ground- I initially thought it was "impassible" terrain, but the Give Ground rule on p. 155 just says "terrain" so contacting ANY terrain will stop the unit from giving ground further. You guys played it correct! However, the Wraith wouldn't be able to join a unit of skeletons. Ethereal on p. 167: "Characters that are not ethereal cannot join units that are, and vice versa."

Random question here, Eric: What is the exact name/brand of the beige-brown color you used for the rims of your bases? I really appreciate the attention to detail in the way you design your battlefields (and magic vortexes). Some battlereport-channels do that too generic they are just about playing the game I guess but the way you do it really makes it such a pleasure to watch it (for me). Greetings from 5th/6th edition player from Germany, slowly painting his way back into the old world.
