I believe infants are often misdiagnosed with cow's milk protein allergy when they have no atopic signs, only gastrointestinal. Therefore, I think they should be diagnosed with cow's milk intolerance instead. These babies will go on to drink cow's milk at age 1 with no problem. Telling parents their baby has an allergy to cow's milk is irresponsible.

I find it interesting the protein rich foods are associated with increased fragility. I am 77yo man. I walk 10-20 km day and work out in gym. I find that eating protein and taking protein supplement helps my ability to stay strong. My fears are falling and sarcopenia - it seems to me that the high carbohydrate diet suggested by the food slide would acerbate loss of muscle. How would fruit and grain support muscle building and strength?
