Q: Am I able to play the music from my Chromecast device to the (in-ceiling) speakers connected through the ZP100? For ex, I have a Chromecast device (Chromecast with Google TV) that is currently connected to my TV from where I stream Netflix, etc.

You'd need DAZN for Champions league but La Liga is not on either fubo tv! or DAZN.

Welcome to Canada. There are many things different here to the UK. EFL games are shown on DAZN along with Carabao Cup, Champions League and Europa League - so you'd really want that unless you also want to watch Premier League games too, in which case you need fubo tv. Games are shown live. You can 'record' on fubo tv, but DAZN keeps the games available to view for several weeks. Both fubo tv & DAZN are CA$200 per year (each).

I lived in Alberta 2015 to 2021 but could get uk forces tv bfbs then with the football. I just don’t want to be paying the massive charged shaw and Telus expect you to pay

The only reason I subscribed to fubo is beacuse of their exclusive rights to Epl. After a few months now I've discovered the so called "LIVE" is not as "LIVE" being sometimes as much as a whole minute behind. When on youtube you have watchalongs you see that your feed is far behind which can only mean that they try to squeeze in more ads at the top of the broadcast. Also the content in between match broadcasts is extremely repetitive. On the plus side you get Ligue 1 , Serie A, La liga & Turkish league. The picture quality is excellent and there are other channels for movies etc. You won't have access to FA Cup or Champions League. They showed some Maple Leafs hockey occasionally but no more recently. Overall I give it an 8/10. Compared to the same company in USA we're not getting all the channels specially news offered there as in Canada. It does give you storage space to have your games recorded on their servers which is a nice feature.

fubo tv still comes up short of DAZN for me for premiership football, with DAZN you could re-watch any game and they had a good game highlights service. fubo tv simply doesn’t cut it, but we are at the mercy of the licensing deals.

@@philbinks you can watch previous matches with fubo by recording the matches on their system without a dvr which is handy. They do have a hightlight show every week. We are at the merci of licensing deals unfortunately. I found out appletv has the deal for mls. There are no freebees anymore. It's worse in UK.

You are unlikely to be able to download the DAZN app unless you have an active App Store or Play Store account in a country serviced by DAZN. Try running the VPN on your phone and using the web browser just like you probably do on the PC.

Only good for NFL except all the games come on basic cable anyway. Basic cable and Dazn are also about the same price. Most of the MMA and boxing matches you can’t bet on. No pay-per-views either, gotta pay extra.

depends upon how you receive the stream and the rights restrictions of TSN. I presume most will set their TV service PVR to record games for watching later.

We have subscribed to DAZN for a few years and found is to be brilliant. Being able to watch literally all of the highlights or full games across the span of the following week was a huge bonus. It is very disappointing when you have something really good only to be replaced with something that sounds problematic and not reliable. I believe Fobu will cost quite a bit more. So we will watch Fubo highlights on youtube and hope that DAZN comes back into play for the Premier League next season.

fubo tv have a three year contract with the Premier League from 2022. A fubo tv subscription (CA$199) is the same as DAZN's new subscription price, but more than doubles the original DAZN cost (CA$149) you would've been paying. You can watch highlights and full games for a limited peridod on fubo tv but it is a bit hard to find!

@@philbinks Thank you, yes you are right DAZN informed me that a new subscription, renewable in October which I intend to cancel, would be $199 Canadian annually, this was before I realised what they weren't going to be able to show with regard to the Premier League. Still thinking about trying Fubo.

Had a DAZN sub for 1 year. PL and CL at about $13/month was a deal. Price was increased to $25/month with no PL. Went to FUBO but no CL at$25/month. Have another platform for CL but unreliable.

Not without cheating the system. Using a VPN from another country is only the first step, issues such as localised payment and even app store locations will likely cause you issues too.

Yes. I was distressed to find that I couldn’t watch 'other' games at a later time like we could with DAZN. The fubo tv approach is that you 'record' the games you want access to, which is a pain in the A' and nowhere near as attractive as the DAZN service.

Nice topic. I get it's different from the subscription service you are discussing, but the FuboTV EPL highlights on their YT channel are lame: shorter than DAZNs longer highlights, only in 480p, and there's a scorebox banner thingy on screen that hides 1/3 of the play. So far I rate FUBO as FUBAR, and not as good as DAZN often was, especially for those of us for whom a weekly digest of highlights is plenty.

I credit fubo tv with showing any highlights on their KZbin channel, even though it is 480p. Their subscription service is much higher resolution, and it's far better than DAZN's poor quality 720p feed.

@@philbinks Okay, good to hear, thanks. The YT highlights are the marketing bait to entice subscribers, i assume. The 8 or 9 minute DAZN highlights of each and every game were enough for me to follow the EPL. We'll see how the FUBO approach evolves. Enjoy the footy!

If you live in Spain then there is no problem.The subscription is about €12 euros a month. If you want La Liga then it’s 24 euros a month. It’s a good service but the commentary is Spanish. After a while you get to understand bits and pieces of the commentary. The names of players sound weird. I don’t know if you can get it in UK via a VPN.

Yes it can have a vinyl record player (Preamp out) connected via the RCA input jacks, or any other 'audio device'. Yes you can share music to any other Sonos device on your system.

Just want to clarify before I pull the trigger. I will be able to connect book shelf speakers to the app, as well as running the TV audio through the app to the speakers (I’m happy to do this over Wi-Fi on my Apple TV or through some cable to my TV). Is that doable in your opinion?

You can only connect and control Sonos hardware products with the Sonos S1 or S2 Controller App's. Sonos harware may allow devices, such as Speakers, to be connected, but the app only controls the Sonos hardware. Refer to the official Sonos website for the current hardware product line up and features.

@@number2nd make sure you read my response clearly ! Did you mean to write 'Amp' when you wrote 'app' ? ...of course you can connect a TV audio out to a Sonos Amplifier. Just make sure your audio out options from the TV connect to your chosen Sonos Amplifier. The Sonos App controls the Sonos hardware Amplifier, not the TV or the speakers, but by proxy provides volume control (and other aspects) of the speaker sound.

We have a Denon Receiver that drives our 5.1 speakers, has a NAS server as the source of our music library. Should we plug from the Denon to the ZP100 inputs, making our receiver act as a pre-amp? We cannot currently get the Sonos to go to our 5.1 speakers or recognize our music library.

It is possible that the Denon would be better with it's more modern options of 5.1 etc. I suggest using the Sonos a source into your Denon. You should be able to get the Sonos to recognize a NAS Music library.

All Sonos devices can be linked wirelessly, however there is no audio wired 'Input' on a Sonos 1. I'd recommend connecting 'normal' loudspeakers to a ZP100, also you can add your external music source such as a TV or record player (There is only one audio inputs so you would need to have an output from a preamplifier for instance to enable you to add multiple devices) and beam the sound wirelessly to your other Sonos speakers.
