Mine sounds exactly the same, noise increases in frequency with revs but is as soft as in neutral. I've watched other guys with it unfortunately some of em say that it turned out to be bad rod bearing.

I'm having the same issue with my SST16. It's been very difficult to find any information on this model. Taking off the mowing deck was different than the other models. However, I'm having a lot of trouble trying to take off the seat platform to get at the actuators. Any advice on how to remove it? Thanks

I get a huge vibration(shuttering) when i accelerate really really slow. If i press the gas normal or hard, it doesn't vibrate at all. I just had my truck looked at from a trusted body shop, to check all the u joints and carrier bearing and they said everything looked good, that there wasn't much play when trying to move it. My truck has 250K miles already on all original ujoints and carrier bearing. I think i'll replace them myself and see if it stop the vibration on super slow acceleration.

Great vid however I’d recommend an inline fuse for protection especially if you off road in mud/wet environments. Don’t want any electrical issues as I’ve seen on a few here that used this technique.

If you open the console, pull the felt up, and pop up the bottom of the acc outlet plastic trim up you have a ton more room to use the wrenches. Great video. All the others out there tell you to take the entire center console off!

I am currently doing this on my Rav4.. Do you have to loosen the top not first though? Can't you just tighten that and have it tighten the bottom one as it moves down? It's hard to move my hands in there with the 10mm wrench so I tried that and got it to now have less clicks when lifting lever.. I'm wondering if that is ok or if I have to loosen the top nut first before adjusting the bottom one

Remember to adjust it until it only takes six clicks to be full on.

Btw.. i added seafoam to the oil and gas, it greatly reduced the noise in combination with higgh octane fuel.

I have a 2005 Tacoma. My 4 wheel drive has stopped working. If I flip the switch from 2 WD to 4 WD H (or low) it won’t do anything. Absolutely nothing. But if I turn the truck off, and then while off flip the switch to 4 WD H, and then start the truck… the green 4x4 symbol will light up on the dash, and it appears it is in 4 WD. But it will only do this if I switch to 4WD while the truck is off and then start it. Is this likely the issue you are addressing in this video?

@mech4061 Жыл бұрын
I disconnected the heater core hoses going into the firewall and was able to use the garden hose to flush it out alternating from top to bottom I also used compressed air to force the water back and forth but you don't want to use too much pressure you could damage the heater core

I plan on doing the Exhaust manifold converter. Do you think that’s a good time to do the mount?
