Is your refridgerator a Samsung ? I have a Generac 6500 and after 5 minutes it trips the GFCI. I'm give it a shot to see. Will a 50ft 14 gauge cord be suffice also? Generac tech support says i needed to purchase an "electronic portable power conditioner" due to the circuitry in our Samsung refridgerator. any thoughts on that please?

Yep, that is because the 30amp isn't gfci.

How did you get the hose detached from the fuel valve? I got the clamp moved out of the way but still can't pull the hose off. I don't want to wrench it off with a pair of pliers because I'm concerned I'll tear the hose up.

Valuable information for an extremely frustrated guy in a storm. Thank you! It made sense as soon as I saw it. I completely forgot about inrush current... a tree sticking through your roof can do that to you. The fridge starting under load was too much for a 13a outlet... 20.00 at Harbor Freight for the 3 way 30a adapter, problem solved. My old generator did not have GFCI outlets, too much load would just stall it. This new one wouldn't even load up before it would trip the GFCI, but using the 30a, can run 2 fridges and all the charger/internet/tv junk just fine. It really made sense when the second fridge kicked on and I heard the genset load up for a couple of seconds... oh yeah, that's some current. Anyway, THANKS, I needed that. :)

I have a 2019 F150 XLT 4x4 and I have been having the same problem with my camera. It's off and on with the x-ray camera and some times it just states "it's not working, go see your dealer" I was going to buy a camera and replace it myself, but now that I know it's a Ford issue, I'll take it in and let them replace it. Now that I have read all the comments I don't have to worry myself about it. Thanks for the updates everyone.

What did you run on that generator? Could you power the entire house or just some items?

Thanks a million! You led me to the solution. But I had to get a 240v to 120v “Y” adapter cable since my 4 prong output was 240v. Tested it today and it worked like a champ! Thanks again.

So you didn’t need the rear bracket bar for your tour pack you were able to just use it like that than right

Bought new 21’ F-150, and camera crapped out same night I got it home 🤦‍♂️ Issue continues into the new generation It’s currently at the dealer, they told me when I dropped it off they have seen plenty of this so I’m hoping it’s not something that needs parts replaced as everyone is back ordered.

You should have gotten a recall notice by now. Known issue affecting "safety" so it should be repaired for free. Had mine done this morning. Based on your video description, I am assuming you already had it replaced. If so, if they charged you anything for the replacement, 1 - go back, 2 - get your money back, 3 - Have them verify the model they installed is the correct model for the replacement under the recall, 4 - If not, have them replace it again to ensure it doesn't happen again.

Same thing happened to my 2020 F150 about a week after buying. I brought it in, tech rep. says they are extremely backlogged due to coronavirus shutting down plants a few months ago. Been 2 months and haven't heard anything. All the F series models having same issues along with suv's, cars. It's the camera itself. Can't believed Ford pulled this crap after I ditched a pos Chevy p/up for terrible quality.

i have exactly same problem with my 2019 f 150 lariat . I was at the dealer couple of time already they instal new software do this and that still nothing .I hope this time dealer will replace camera

love my f150, but i drove it brand new for an hour and my camera did the same thing

I took deliver on my F150 last Thursday. The backup camera worked fine during the test drive, then, while I was signing purchase papers, the salesman comes in and tells me that since he had it washed the reverse camera is gunnybag. A known issue he says. Now I am on the list for a new camera. This is crap. There have been camera issues for years with Ford. And they have been selling that trailer backup application like crazy, and it is worthless without the camera.

I will be adding an update to this video in a few days. Ford Motor Company contacted me via Twitter and said the following "Thank you for reaching out to Ford Motor Company with this concern. I will be escalating this case to a Customer Experience Specialist on the escalated Truck support team. They will contact you through your preferred contact method within 1 business day to assist you. Your case number is CAS #########." Needless to say it's been two working days since they sent that and I've not been contacted...

just got the replacement camera for my 2020 f-150 fx4 after waiting 1 month. The updated camera has no zoom or any lines. it is the most basic camera on a vehicle I have ever seen! I will be contacting the dealership about this! So beware you will not get the same camera. (edit) I called the dealership and they forgot to program the new camera. As of now it is working fine, but only time will tell.

Had my new 2020 XLT with tow package , whole shebang for towing . Camera started going out or doing wierd things within a couple hundred miles . Thanks for all the comments . Now I know I'm not crazy . Unless all y'all crazy too !

I feel like a dumbass for trading in my Tacoma yesterday. Day 1 the camera on my brand new F-150 SXT died. I’ve been told there’s a back order for parts on a truck with ink still wet on the finance forms. Disgraceful Ford.

Well today is 09/0920 and I just got off the phone with Ford service department and they told me that the camera is still on order and that there's no telling how long it's going yo be before they get it.

I have 180 miles on my truck and the same thing happened to front and rear cameras after going through a car wash today! I am so annoyed!

Same with my 2018 Lariat. I've been on and off with customer relations guy. I paid a pretty penny for crap like this to happen. Get your crap together, Ford. Two months + and still waiting for this issue to be fixed.

My 2020 F-150 Lariat. Exact same issue. Screen goes, black, blue, or rainbow. Problem is intermittent. Dealer said they have seen many of these, and my forum search confirmed it. They tried a new camera, and I lost my trajectory lines and proximity colors. Supposedly, Ford is aware and getting a new batch of cameras. But, it may take a couple months to replace their usual stockpile. I heard October/November. I think there is both a software and hardware component going on here.
