After MS Amma's PAKKALA NILABADI, the rendition by SHWETA MOHAN Ji is simply Divine. In K. Vishwanath Garu's movie SHANKARABHARANAM, Shankara Shastry says the famous dialogue - "Music is Divine whether Western or Indian". PAKKALA NILABADI although has been rendered with Western Rhythm and beats but it does not take away the beauty and divinity of the Thyagaraja Kirthana. This is the Greatness of Bharatiya Classical Music.

She may be a great singer, but I am sorry, she has totally ruined this beautiful, bhakti-filled composition! The tempo alone is an assault to the soul of the piece. Glad Thyagaraja is not hear to hear this!

MS Subbulakshmi also performed it at this tempo only. The issue is not the tempo but the over modernization Shwetha has done with some modern rock guitar and drums and made it fusion in the name of modernity. Lacking Bhakthi.

త్యాగరాజ స్వామి వారి కీర్తనలు కచేరీలో పాడేటప్పుడు సంప్రదాయ సిద్ధమైన దుస్తులను ధరించకపోవడం ఆ ఆర్టిస్టుకి ఎటువంటి ఇమేజ్ యిస్తుందో ఆలోచించుకోవాలి మగ వారైనా,ఆడవారైనా... ఓం ప్రక్కన వెస్టర్న్ టింజ్ జాజ్ వగైరాలు.. దేవుడూ, భక్తి అంటే యిదేనా?!!!

Amazing but way to bring classical in wrong manner..setting ...proper dress.....hair style everything gone some wherer..you can sing in proper way ...but our culture gone some where.....MS Amma l MLV...Amma song should have some traditional Indian...CULTURE.. .

Rendering excelling Background disturbing but for afew notes of flute...other thala vadya - drums Horrible ..singer is great with high digree if tolerance, may be gift of sri thiagaraja.. 👍👎

I watched this hundreds of times..Whom to give the credit ? Everyone played excellent music or ultimate voice of Swetha or the creater of this (Sri Tyagaraja) ? Yes .. I got the answer .. We are all indebited to this great country for its culture and arts. Entire credit to my mother India.. Vandemataram.
