My friends want to float from the launch under the dam near bridge and down a few miles. What’s the story with those low dams just down from the Fibre dam at Shamokin?

I tried 2 smaller versions for rock cod on a double dropper loop rig. They got smashed as soon as I hit bottom or before. Going fishing 300 ft deep out at Rittenberg bank near farralon islands Saturday & will be trying these big ones for the 1st time. Rigged up 2 of these eels you show that I bought cheap! from China last season. I put 1 on a 60 lb single dropper loop rig with a 12 oz torpedo below & a big strong hook about mid body for ling cod who always hit the belly. I am very sure that they will get clobbered. Thx for the reminder to soak them.
