Thank you for the video!! It's great and will be a big help for me making my sister's corsages and boutonnieres for her wedding. One question though - should you wire eucalyptus? If so, how would you go about doing that? Thank you for any help :)
@candisfloral6045Ай бұрын
I don’t wire anything that has a thin and sturdy stem. If you needed to wire a green at that point I usually just put the wire next to the stem, straight up and down and tape it real tight. Almost like making an extended stem. This way you have the flexibility of you need to move it bend it.

Ok I know I’m so late to the party but I’m brushing up on my corsage work (after taking 20yrs off to raise kids and now I’m back to work) and this was EVERYTHING! I. Love. You!!!! Simple, demonstrative, and FREAKING HILARIOUS!!! Thank you!!!

@@candisfloral6045 I was able to do 20 or so corsages and boutonnières. I only struggled with 1 monstrosity for a gal who wanted a wristlet, a lot of baby’s breath, 5 spray roses, and for it to swirl up her arm. I wrestled with that one for hours.

Omg “old school!” I learned these old-school techniques back in the early 2000s when my mom had a floral shop. Fast forward I’m getting married in two weeks and I’ve decided to do wrist corsages for our moms. I called myself brushing up on the technique only to hear that it is old-school now and there’s something called floral glue. 😳🤯

Love that I found your video! So helpful! TKU! Flower question- how long before the event do you tend to cut and make these? I always worry about the flowers wilting! Any tips on that? I hydrate them well for at least 24 hrs but I still worry! I do these for my kids friends for school dances (always looking for tips)! 😅
@candimilliard20565 ай бұрын
So glad you found me. It depends on the state the spray roses are in when they get to you. Typically I get these delivered on Tuesday and they are very green and tight - so I'll cut and put into very warm water and put a garbage bag over them so they open up quickly.(green house affect) I put them in the cooler on Wednesday to harden and make them on Thursday, spray with crowning glory, bag or box and put into a 36-38 degree cooler fridge with no oranges! I've made them as early as Wednesday! Hope this helps

I know this is an older video does anyone know if I can make these the night before and keep them in my fridge? Or only day of event
@candimilliard20566 ай бұрын
Hi! I've made these up to 3 days before. For best results, spray with crowning glory when done. wait for it to dry and then seal in a corsage box of bag and you're good to go. If you can, take oranges out of the fridge as that acid tends to kill flowers. Let me know if you have any further questions
