Thanks a LOT for showing us this place! We used to go to a small restaurant called the wheelhouse[?] coming into Parksville years ago! Parksville is a great place to live!! I also have to say... Joe! No offence, you're a good looking guy...but... Time for a "make-over"....you need to wash your hair more often... Not doing so creates a problem on your scalp... and accumulation of DHT...which destroys hair roots, and causes hair loss.... and please SHAVE... that "rough style" of beard is passe' ... The combination of grubby hair with the scruffy beard comes across like you are a stranger to the shower..... Wearing it in a tight ponytail causes hair loss... ESPECIALLY if you use an elastic band... If you notice you are losing hair when taking out your ponytail, THAT is why... Anyway... This was NOT intended to be mean... I worked for the Movie industry in Vancouver for years... and you quickly learn WHAT is a "winner" and what isn't... GOOD LUCK, and thanks for the show!

Nanoose bay is famous for something even more famous than that! Actually, probably 100 million people know of a boat that is harbored there. It's called the SS Minnow. Is was a prop in the TV series from the 1960s-1970s called Gilligan's Island. Anybody born in North America, in that era will know what I'm talking about. Apparently Nanoose bay Marina will rent it for a 1 hour tour, but we'd all like to take it on a 3 hour trip.

My wife and I were shocked to watch Pamela and her mom walk right in front of our vehicle last summer! We hope this August we aren’t star struck and actually able to say hello and get her booked signed by her. lol I was able to get a quick picture and hopefully we get to meet her this year. She’s a wonderful person and ladysmith is a beautiful place! Can’t wait to be back!

isnt a con that theres no restaurants in the city? i looked on google maps and all i see are the big chains like subway and dominos and some medicore japanese restaurants. i live in downtown van in a luxury condo but i want more space. would sacrificing the city for a house on the island in a small town be a good or bad idea?
