I’m actually watching this because I’m SO hyped for Akuma in sf6, and when I got into sfV it was literally the very end of its lifespan so I didn’t learn much. Bro please, PLEASE make another guide for Akuma when he drops in sf6, I bet there’s gonna be so much tech now that we have DI and drive rush, if you can make another Akuma guide I’ll def subscribe

Hi spicytunaroll, I am quite on and off with KZbin and fighting games, but I do still play a bit and am also hyped to see Akuma in SF6. If I end up playing him for a longer period of time, I'll probably make a guide, though you shouldn't expect it in the first few weeks or even months after he drops. I'm a pretty slow learner and like to take my time with those.

Why stand jab on wakeup?
@Hushfield
@Hushfield Жыл бұрын
It's Ryu's fastest normal at 4f. If they miss their meatie, you can link it in other light normals and end in light tatsu or heavy dp. It's a way to challenge the opponent without having to spend the 2 bars on OD dp. But it's also a bit of a bad habit to mash jab on wakeup, I definitely do it too much.

Someone help me I’m new to fighting games and have a hard time on Xbox elite controller. Any recommendations on what to use?
@Hushfield
@Hushfield Жыл бұрын
Hi, that's a tricky question. People have lots of different opinions on this. Personally I would recommend not spending too much money if you're new. After all, you don't know if you want to invest a lot of time and money into fighting games yet. There are 3 main types of controllers: pads, fightsticks and leverless controllers like hitbox. I've played a lot on all three. I started with pad and would recommend that to beginners because they're the cheapest (at first, but if you keep playing for a long time, you also have to replace these a lot because the D-pad will wear out, so in the long run they're not as cheap). I would recommend trying a Playstation controller (Dualshock 4 or 5) if you want to play offline, because most of the FGC is on PlayStation for offline locals or tournaments. Alternatively, lots of people like the Hori fighting commander gamepad for fighting games. Lots of people eventually switch to fightstick, because that's how these games were played in arcades for a long time. I would recommend a mid-level stick from HORI as your second controller, but anything from Mad Catz and Qanba will also be a quality stick. If you have people in the area that play fighting games, you could always ask if you could play on one of their sticks for a bit to get used to the feeling and see if you like it. Finally a lot of people have switched to leverless controllers like Hitbox. This is what I have played on for years now, and for me this is the ultimate way to play fighting games. My movement inputs are a lot crisper, and the smaller buttons for the right hand (24mm instead of the normal larger 30mm on most sticks) make them a bit less tiring on the hands. Many Japanese pros play on these as well, because they allow for very fast reactions and there's less inconsistencies with the movement. But they are very expensive and if you order an official hitbox the waiting times can be extremely long (several months). I would recommend this as a third controller when you know you'll be playing fighting games for a long time. Watch out that for Street Fighter 6 specifically many tournaments run this on PS5, and the FGC is in a bit of transition from PS4 to PC (due to covid) and now to PS5. There's many controllers that don't work with PS5 (although there's now converters that help with this like the Brooks Wingman FGC). In the end, the answer to your question comes down to budget and personal preference. You can play the game, get good, be competitive and win major tournaments using any of those controllers. Hope this helps.

Obviously this is personal experience but the Xbox DPAD is probably one of the worst to use for me, much more precise inputs with individual buttons for directions.

They really need to make takin a drink projectile invincible or give him a true drunken master lying down move like Lei from Tekken. It's bad enough they gave Juri the good divekick. But, Jamie has to unlock both of his ways around projectiles which sucks. And they're awful at that. I get it, Parry the projectiles. But idiot Guile and Luke's are just gonna zone you from full screen when or if you're in burnout about to die.
@PowerStunna
@PowerStunna Жыл бұрын
That's when Jamie players need to constantly drink to keep the drive up and use the dive kick and bakkai to deal with fireballs. But yeah, zoners are still gonna be a pain. Lol

I think the fact that you guaranteed a safe drink after almost every combo makes up for it. Im not the best player but I had no trouble getting to 4 drinks if I just played agro and drank while they where knocked down or full screen.
