Most modern science is fake. Number 1 should have been Nicola Tesla.
@Cristiano-k5l4j11 күн бұрын
so I guess you don't consider Tesla and a dozen other scientists in your list, wow, that is so hypocritical, and what is the criteria and what are the standards, I think Tesla is laughing in heaven watching this, you are literally using AC current to power your phone and you are probably using Wireless technology to transmit data, which are Teslas inventions.. 🤣🤷

Thank you for an excellent reading, though it took me a while to get used to the American accent. If I were a new reader of Somerset Maughan, I'd start with his short stories. Some of them are very funny and others are not; but SM is a brilliant writer. On KZbin you can hear him read his own short story ' The three fat women of Antibes'. It's wonderful to listen to

A morbid and unpleasant story, as are most of Maugham’s stories. Nicely read, but a depressing tale.

What is the name of the town where the traveler stops? it’s impossible to understand what the narrator says here, or whose eyebrows he wishes to see. And I both speak Spanish and know Spain. Irritating.

Ah, in W. Somerset Maugham's delightful tale "The Punctiliousness of Don Sebastian," the traveler stops in the quaint and somewhat amusingly named town of **Ecija**. A place where the heat is as stifling as the formalities of its inhabitants!
