My daughter is 23 and just got her license. She waited because of live things. We don't live in the same state, so she has to get her own policy. Not an easy or cheap feat. She's between $300-$500 from the 50% that are willing to cover her.

Auto insurance is a total rip off. God forbid you actually get in an accident they take forever to pay a claim and typically raise your rate for the next 3 years which exceeds the total cost of your claim. Safe drivers really do not get rewarded for their great driving history like they should.

We are in times where you have To Shop your insurance. Captive Companies (Direct Writers) line SF, Farmers, American Family generally only can quote you with their company. Contact Insurance Brokers, or Independent Agents to get multiple bids. LOL

Good topic gents..... A couple of things to come mind: [1] The windshield chips I've had/have were due to oncoming traffic (semi's) passing me [2] As a Jeep Wrangler owner, the design of the windshield (more vertical compared to most other vehicles) makes it more prone to chips/cracks [3] The State of Florida handles windshield replacement claims a bit differently than other States

Does full coverage cover people I give permission to drive my car? Why not just give my child permission to drive my car and not add them to anything?

This permissive use is very limited, and it only applies to people who do not live in the same home as you. for example if someone borrows your car once in a blue moon, they would be covered by your car insurance, and wouldnt have to be under your insurance.

Been with State Farm nearly 40 years and just received my new bill which spiked nearly 30% from the last one, with no claims and no change in coverage, when I called to complain one of my agent's employees said the worst part is there's more increases coming and now I know why. I'll bet the CEO and the rest of the board gave themselves a 25-30% raise though. Sad part is how the government agencies that are supposed to regulate insurance companies and protect consumers allowed this to happen.

People don’t seem to understand how “State Farm” works.. They sell themselves to you cheap so you buy in and then they gradually raise your rate over time. Screw State Farm. They make a lot of commercials though, guess who pays for them?!

F State Farm. They just raised my rate and said it was due to a general rate increase. They will be getting a policy cancellation letter in the mail today. Adios jackass.

I was with them since I was 16, had never shopped around. My rate kept going up despite no accidents, an older vehicle, no tickets, no claims (except windshield replacement every few years). I switched and my bill went down substantially. When I cancelled they never even asked why or cared. Good riddance SF

Same happening here. My rate on one of my vehicles went up by almost $200 every 6 months. I'm a trucker, so it barely gets driven. Only thing told me is that all insurance companies had a hike. Doesn't pay to have a clean record.

We chose to do telematics when our oldest daughter turned 16 and it turned out great for us. However, we have not done telematics with our youngest daughter and probably won't at this point. Thanks for the video.

So buying them a cheap car wont help cause it rates them on all policy vehicles.... but then I tell you the way to insure your kid cheap is to put them on a scooter? Whats the difference between the cheap car and the scooter if they are rated on all vehicles on the policy?
