I’ve shot close to a thousand rounds of various ammo through my BG 2.0 without a single issue. Mags difficult to load the last rounds but have loosened up and are now fine. I guess I got lucky because my sights are 👍 right on. I rotate with my Sig p365 and holsters work for both👍👍

Are you using a piston with the Staccato? If not, that’s the cycling issue.

I’d have to ask them. It would appear not, otherwise I would think it would cycle at least some of the time

How do you like loading the 11th and especially the 12'th round (by hand) in the 12-round mag... good luck with that! Oh... and out of the box my sights are off... gun shoots hard left, even range masters confirmed it. At 15 yards point at 2:00/3:00 and you'll hit center.

Fun gun to shoot. I have several Henry’s and I shoot CB Longs and CB Shorts (and other subsonic 22’S) out of them. Today, I encountered a problem for the first time. Out my Golden Boy had I shot 30 rounds of CB Shorts, then loaded a tube of CB Longs. That was a mistake, if I known then, what I know now, I would have thoroughly cleaned GB first. Those CB Shorts, being short like they are, fouled up the chamber and the first CB Long I chambered, and shot, failed to extract because it had gotten jammed up in the chamber fouled by those CB Shorts. The problem was the fresh round in the tube, it got jammed up because of the one stuck in the chamber. I used some needle nose pliers to get at it, but only pulled the bullet out of the case. I finally had to field strip the GB to get the case out. I was successful and got it back together, cleaned the chamber good with a rod and brush, and bore snake, and it is again shooting great. Here’s what I learned - from now on, I’m gonna thoroughly clean a lever action rifle, before moving from CB Shorts to CB Longs.

This is a very solid option. It brakes down to be very compact and portable, but is still a solid shooter. Folks should not underestimate the energy and effectiveness of a 147 grain hollow point out of a carbine length barrel. To make it even better, you can use Glock mags. If you carry a Glock pistol, that’s a huge advantage. Great video!

The thing that is keeping me from buying one is all of the extractor issues people have been having. Some people had the issue right away and some had it after several hundred rounds. Until I hear of Ruger fixing the issue from the factory, I’m not buying one. There are fixes that people have made. But, it should come from the factory with it in my opinion.
@wisconsinarms98204 ай бұрын
I agree, I haven’t heard this but I also haven’t gotten on groups or anything, that’s where you see or hear about more issues. I’m not sure if there are aftermarket extractors for it, but I’ll keep shooting mine and see how it holds up
@woodystube10004 ай бұрын
The Mcarbo replacement extractor is really inexpensive and solves the potential problem in a couple minutes. It’s unfortunate Ruger did not make a better extractor, but it’s not a deal breaker.
@bradkuether3561Ай бұрын
Yes your point is valid. However it's not a crap shoot with the MCarbo upgrades. They work, and make the gun more reliable. I had lots off issues with the PC Carbine initially but then after the upgrades it runs like no one else' business. Don't throw the baby out with the bathwater.
@The_Wolf8024 ай бұрын
If you put the glock mag adapter in, you can get a 10rnd mag in and break the gun down and it won’t hit the barrel when it stowed away. I’ve had this setup for a few years. Perfect truck gun accurate and reliable.
@wisconsinarms98204 ай бұрын
A 21 round will fit in the compartment stock. The Glock mag. I wanna say I have a 10 rd and it didn’t fit loaded into the chamber with the gun in break down mode. But I’ll have to double check

Anyone else notice after the misfire @ 1:30 mark the gun shoots 2 shots per trigger pull on the last 2 shot?
@deucedeuce15725 ай бұрын
I was wondering if it works on the 10/22 magazines. Several people said it don't work on the 10/22, but then I saw 10/22 magazine adapters for it. I'd assume that since they sell adapters that it Must work for the 10/22 ... but I've seen many gun companies and gun accessory companies sell things that don't work over the years.
@wisconsinarms98205 ай бұрын
They have an adapter for Ruger 10/22 aftermarket magazines only. Don’t work with original Ruger mags like the BX25. Which sucks cuz I have those
@deucedeuce15725 ай бұрын
@@wisconsinarms9820 Damn. They don't work with the rotary mags I assume? I assume they work with the higher capacity mags that have a spring and follower... but not the original 10rd magazines, because they're the rotary mags?

@jn95005 ай бұрын
After a lot of research I bought my GoldenBoy Silver because it is drilled and tapped to accept a rail and be able to mount virtually any type of optic. I ordered a full length weaver style rail from Henry outfitters. You need to drift out the rear sight to expose the drilled and tapped mounting screw holes. Another few scope mounting options are available from Skinner Sights. Hope this helps you.

My Wife and I are still trying to figure out why Ruger DID make the safety actuation the opposite of many semi-autos....maybe because Ruger wanted a de-cocker and safety combined.
@wisconsinarms98207 ай бұрын
Not sure. The trigger being dead is odd too. I’d have to look at mine again, but I think there’s a bar that slides in front of the hammer when you have the hammer back and engage the safety. So it don’t go off. It can be seen when cleaning
