@@Glitchy455 First of all this is in no way a German song. This is the Serbian version of Spanish Civil War song ¡Ay Carmela!. And no, it was not originally communist. It had originally been a nineteenth century folk song, El Paso del Ebro, commemorating the routing of Napoleonic troops across the river Ebro in 1807, during the War of Independence. Second: "This is a German song in the Serbian language" Yes that is what "Serbian version" means. No the original Serbian version is not talking about helping Spanish Republicans. It doesn't mention Spain in any capacity. I know this because I am a Serb and understand the lyrics.
