That is the most beautiful poinsettia I have ever seen it’s going to fill out and have all red leaves all over it as it gets close to Christmas I know this because I see that poinsettia every holiday!!!!!!❤

If the drainage intake is not where the vortex is, then I've also seen where a vortex can form where fast flowing water goes over & around a small mound on the stream bottom. As far as tracing a drainpipe back to its buried inlet, I am currently experimenting with making a magnetic locator target by putting a stack of strong neodymium magnets into a metal tube, slipping the tube onto a long plumber's snake, taping it securely in place, then feeding it back thru the open end of the drainpipe while tracing its progress with a magnetic locator or metal detector. (Note: this might also work with the magnetic compass in your smartphone, but I haven't tried that yet.) The snake will stop moving when it gets to the clog, but the drainpipe should approximately follow the path that the magnetic target followed before it stopped. So look for the inlet location in that directional path. Good luck!
