So sad to hear you selling my bro. There is an international church in Coimbra (Open Heavens) you could reach out and fellowship. I guess you have your reasons, I personally wouldn’t want to give up on this dream and return to the UK and be a slave to a broken system. The Bible says in the last days we should run to the hills and countryside before the great tribulation and mark of the beast. It must be hard when you can’t speak the language ❤

Oh, your poor guy! All that sweat and effort, and all those thorns! It does benefit you directly a little bit, though, to have that area open and accessible and free of all that flammable material. And of course you have done your neighbor & her brother an inadvertent favor; and had the chance to be gracious about it. That sort of thing counts for a lot in a small village. Hi, I'm Portuguese and it looks a bit odd this subject. I can be wrong thou... Land register can be a bit messy here in Portugal. Although you had a lawyer involved when you purchased the lot of terrain it's still odd. The boundaries of a piece of land are not defined by trees. All the lines are interconnections defined by granite markers with engraved initials of the owner and those markers are numbered. The register must say how many markers are making the boundaries. Another odd thing for me is that your peace of land is taking the corners/walls of the ruin. As I can remember the law for a long long time would not allow you to build anything less than 2 meters away from the dividing line between properties. As I could see in the video that passage by the wall of the ruin looks like 2 meters wide. If you can get the oldest register of that piece of land with a written description of the lote those things are described iniquivoquely. You made a good favor to the lady's brother anyway cleaning all the bushes. Maybe he will include you in his testament! Haven't you any Portuguese close friend to investigate this issue for you?

@@LFANS2001 thank you for investigating my brother, i believe it was my error, the land boundaries are correct, it was almost four years ago in 2021 when the previous owners showed us the boundaries and i didn’t return till July 2024, but I think it’s all good, am in the UK at the moment sorting something out, if everything goes well here in the UK God willing I’ll return to Portugal to sort things out, but thank you so much for helping and the advice, God bless you brother 🙏🏽

I feel your disappointment 😔. Not necessarily the work you done but the plans you may have had for the land. What's if you'd already planted a garden or fenced off with animals🤷. Did you involve a lawyer in your buying process? On a positive note, you helped a neighbour and it was good exercise. Lesson to all, make sure that your property boundaries are crystal clear. 🇱🇨🇬🇧
