This hymn is written by Lutheran composer Carl F. Schalk (not Craig Courtney), the words by Rev. Jaroslav J. Vajda, Lutheran pastor.

After reading a few books on the subject and watching Tenko, this hymn brings tears to my eyes.

This is a hymn that should be shown in EVERY church at least once a year when the movie about the life of Margaret Dryburgh is shown!

It would be good to have the lyrics written here. I've always noticed that with 'proper' singing you can rarely hear all the words clearly.

I am amazed that there are no comments on this deeply moving, lovely hymn. It's so beautiful! Thank you Margaret, for your hymn. And also for your faithful work and witness, especially in those dark days of your forced imprisonment

There is a hymn written by Vajda. It is entitled Peace Came to Earth. It is set to the tune, SCHNEIDER, composed by Paul Manz. If Isaiah 9: 7 and/or Isaiah 11: 1-8 is ever read at your service, this would be a good hymn for this Scripture. The melody for this hymn is #285 in Evangelical Lutheran Worship.
