Bro feels unconfident touching some stranger gal that's not his dear ovation gp, a real gentleman and a true family man

FYI, he stopped playing those Ovation GP guitar around 2004/2005. Which was about 16/15 years when this video was uploaded.

Harrison Estate had to buy that guitar back at auction because George gave the Tele to Delaney Bramlett in 1970 or 71. I think they paid around $450K to get it back.

i think he saw the possibility and didn't ever want to have to be tempted to try and find it in something else. gear people don't realise its mostly in their own touch.

If I could go back to any period in time I’d go back to 05 and see a Volta show. So mad I missed this era as a fan by a year.

So it’s my understanding that the Fender Tele that George Harrison played on the roof top was a satin finish, this one has what looks like a gloss finish . Harrison’s guitar was a prototype , they didn’t make gloss finish Telecasters until they did a production run. Beautiful guitar though.

He was Humbled. So human, so raw to see that. I’ve seen Josh interviewed and he doesn’t suffer fools. I’ll still say to to this day that the most real I’ve seen Josh (imho) is the Anthony Bourdain episode with him. Totally dropped any facade, A.B had that ability with people . RIP

I get this. I just pictured it in my mind. Stevie Ray Vaughan is my hero and I just imagined if someone handed me his guitar and I felt the same reaction. I wouldn't know what to do because you know how precious that guitar is and how much of an impact that person had on you as a musician. It's emotional. I've been playing for 16 years.

Best version of this show I can find. Saw same show near Seattle. Make me wish I had shown this to my father at the time. Because he is dead and this tops any 70s act. I was too busy hiding my drug use and time spent. If you like this music now. Please share. Look up De Facto, they just played a show

I think Josh is more of a composer than a virtuoso. He gets lost on the fretboard bc he looks at it like a little kid. That’s why he makes such creative riffs. I also think he doesn’t have superior knowledge of the fretboard, and just catches magic on there w rhythm and feel. Either way, he’s the best rock musician I’ve come across.

It's just too much all at once. Not to mention being recorded while doing so. Kind of the estate to allow others to play these instruments, but placing a whole lot of pressure on the man while recording him doing so.
