Natives shouldn’t sing the national anthem and have our own. Our own government was unfair and disgusting towards our ancestors.

As a descendant of the Cherokee people, I am bothered by a Native American singing the anthem of a country that committed such horrible atrocities against the Indigenous People that welcomed them here with open arms. You all forget how the white man slaughtered our peoples, stole our lands, broke just about every treaty, and forced my Ancestors on the Trail of Tears. I recognize the hypocrisy of the white man, and I expect that you will lash out in hateful, angry comments. Do your best, you cannot hurt us anymore than you already have...

Sing it in English and no other language. We Americans fought the British and claimed our independence.

While English is the primary language, the U.S. has no official language. Plus, ever heard of the Navajo windtalkers during WWII?

You didn’t see anyone kneeling in the face of the Anthem to salute their victim hood. No Black person has even been treated with a modicum of cruelty foisted on the Native American People, yet the Navajo Code Talkers completely stepped bravely forward, and saved our bacon in the Pacific War when they could have easily said truthfully,” This is not our war.” This shows the true character of the great Navajo Nation. We owe you a debt that cannot be repaid. May the Great Spirit bless you, and keep you.

Great respect for the Navajo people, they are an important part of our nation, With unequal contribution from the code talkers in WW2.

I find this to be in bad taste. My ancestors are Hopi. It is historically proven that the “glorious” Americans committed a genocide against all Native Indians. We may have forgiven but we do not forget. PERIOD !

Islamic followers would never sing our National Anthem. Navajo's fought for the USA in many wars and will defend her.
