Why wouldn’t you just put the well point next to your 2inch pvc Jet Pipe and use the same PVC jet for the next hole?
@johnlashbaugh61942 ай бұрын
So how do you stop the sand from back filling and plugging up the sandpoint?
@historygradstu4 ай бұрын
How much water do you think you used for the 2inch pipe to jet in that deep?
@joelmitchell82614 ай бұрын
Probably only used like 40 or 50 gallons.

Looking back, would you still recommend this method? I'm in Florida building a pool, and have water starting at 4ft down.
@joelmitchell82612 жыл бұрын
If you're in Florida sand, absolutely. You can jet the well points in very quickly. Could just use a kiddie pool of water to supply the trash pump though. The swimming pool was way overkill. Didn't realize how quickly the pipe would power it's way down.

@@joelmitchell8261 thanks man, I'll give your method a shot! It's all sand here, no rocks. Should be good. 👍

Did you have any issues with the pump staying primed when you were lowering the water table? How often did you have to pump the water table down to keep working?
@joelmitchell82614 ай бұрын
Have to pump continuously to keep the water table low while you're working.

13 ft lol this only works on sandy land

What kind of pump did you connect to?
@joelmitchell82612 жыл бұрын
It was a Harbor Freight 2" trash pump.

Where I stay, the sand would’ve collapsed around the 2 inch and that would’ve been it, stuck for life, been there
@joelmitchell82612 жыл бұрын
We did get one stuck when we didn't remove it quickly, ended up pulling it up with the skidsteer.

Pump the water into the spears to jet them in always

I replayed the video u can see the mud trail already before the water started flowing

It couldn't have went down that fast the first time !! It was like the hole was done then u started filming and just pushed it back in the ground !! I know the water hose is slow but that new pump didn't just make the pipe fall in the ground!! Well this is what my opinion is !!
@joelmitchell82612 жыл бұрын
That was how fast it went down.

We jet in a 6 inch pvc with two 2inch pacer pumps. It drops in faster than my crane will lower it down until you hit clay.

How long did it take to get the water table down below the pool bottom?
@joelmitchell82612 жыл бұрын
Just running that pump for a few hours with well points surrounding the pool and the area was good enough to work in.

I have the same issue..... however I tried this method and it turns on but it won’t stay even though it’s plugged to an outlet.

So I’ve had this problem for ever now and dropped it from about 1’ onto my bench and boom fixed LOL. May not work for you but it did for me I do still have to boost it with a 2s battery to fire up but it’s been solid for a month straight from when I dropped it

how did you connect the well points to the pump for extraction
@joelmitchell82612 жыл бұрын
Permanently glued them together like normal PVC, once we got above ground we used GatorLock quick connections. They are now buried and we can pump from them if we ever have to lower the water table again to change a liner, or we can use that water to run the sprinklers.

First, thank you for your video. It helped tremendously. We bought the same pump at Harbor Freight. We have jetted multiple well points and joined them but no success in getting water pulled out. Can you provide insight on your setup?

What was the end result? Did it work smoothly during well-pointing or did you have some bumps along the way? If so what happened. so I can be on the lookout for them? What state are you doing this in?
