I love that about Hillsborough - wish power lines were buried everywhere around here! But sadly they’re not. Pretty much Hillsborough, Redwood Shores, and Foster City.

lots of homes for sale,, see Zillow and there's even more on other real estate websites. I think people are flipping homes constantly .. I would advise digging further into the data to understand what is really going on..

Hi! The goal of the video was to share some things that people might want to consider if they buy a condo. Many of the things in my video I’ve heard from past clients that they were glad they knew about in advance. I will also be doing a video on why you should not buy a home - my experience most people would rather know what they’re getting into in advance rather than being surprised later.

You’re right, it was a massive infrastructure project to fill the land which I’ve heard called landfill, engineered fill, compacted fill, etc. In terms of who built it, I believe it was the Foster family, but not familiar with their labor practices.

Great video...I loved all the drone shots over Hillsborough. I've never seen the area from that perspective and it's gorgeous. You can really see how expansive some of the lots really are! Interesting to hear about the Burlingame and Hillsborough Fire Department's choosing to remain independent and the approximate student population difference between the two middle schools. I realized BIS had many more students but was surprised to hear to what extent.

So it really depends on more than just a buyers financial situation. Good points to think about when considering buying in either city-lot size, space, walkability, community feel, school size, and so many others!

Burlingame is lovely but far too expensive for the average family. And, California as a whole is no longer a nice place to live. We left 5 years ago with no regrets.

Kathleen I totally agree with you - it’s really hard for most people to afford to live around here. I think less than 1% of people in the Bay Area can afford the median home price, and in a spot like Burlingame it’s even more pricey. With so little land, and no height allowed like NYC, it’s not shocking to see why we have these numbers. Thanks for watching!
