365.000 kilometers , headgasket was blowing out ,Cilinderhead was not cracked , but the surface was absolutly not straight anymore...,because the upper hoseconnection of the radiator was from the inside cracked,and broken off the radiator while i drive around 110 km/h ...and lost all cooling liquid....very quick temp.raise, oil temp reached the 150c This happen more i find out on these 5 cylinders...so iff you have an audi like this and you not waiting for a lot off work , better replace the radiator if an original first fit is fitted like mine ...The replacement radiators are stronger and that have a reason i think so...you not see this crack on the out side. so to prevent ,i recommend to change the radiator iff the first one is still there.... All is caused with the g11 cooling liquid, it build up an anti corrosive layer inside the hoses and other cooling canals , but shorten the lifetime of plastic cooling parts...Thats why mid of the 90 s audi/vw found out g12. I filled up the system now with g13 / g12 plus plus longlife from valvoline. (can be mixed with g11), because everything i cleaned in side and blow out by air. g13 contains a litlle bit silicates ,so thats why it can be mixed with g11 .If you go to dismantle and respray/grinding all parts you losen ,and replace all old bolts and nuts by new ones it results in this.....Car almost ready only have to replace the brakes ,and backside shock absorbers than i have a car for many years .Because also the front shokabsorbers and all coils are replaced and all strut bearings.....so i think it must drive like a new one.......thanks for the compliment
