I think a two-year 70 million dollar contract with 55 million guaranteed, gives him 27.5 million per year over the next two years I think that's a fair price because we saw what happened to Baker Mayfield got a big contract he's okay but he's fighting for his life for division title in one of the weakest divisions in NFL. Sam darnold is in year 6 going to be going into year 7 and he's had one good year okay so I don't think he's worth 35 million to the Vikings but he's in that high 20s maybe you give him 30 million guaranteed but even that's a little bit of a stretch, if he repeats what he did this year then maybe you consider giving him a long-term contract or you allow him to get even more money from someone else that shows that he can do it more than once then you move on to JJ McCarthy.

Tua's absolutely a solid, mid-level QB. Oh, he's accurate which is nice but, sweet Jesus, he can't even lead Hill or Wattle over 40 yards. So why do you need these other guys if you can't use them? As such, he doesn't even come close to deserving this kind of cash. His statistics look fine but here's the fundamental problem: they win against the teams that they're supposed to beat (i.e., BAD teams) but can't win against the good teams (i.e., above .500). Any improvement? Actually, no. And we're not even going to get to how dismally he performed against the Chiefs. Sorry, but better learn to play in the cold -- like against the Jets, the Bills, and the Pats in December, not to mention in the playoffs. He's simply NOT a great QB. You can pay a great QB and draft/develop/sign FAs to help him or you can keep a mid-QB and pay for the talent -- but you cannot do both, as the Fins will (most regrettably) find out. The hope was nice while it lasted.

@sportsbruiserz13418 ай бұрын
For Hunt, he did have a solid career, but nowhere near what he did in KC. Especially his rookie year. You're absolutely right in that if they Chiefs release him, teams will immediately pick him up, and to be honest, I would admit that there is value. But my biggest concern is the off the field stuff. Can I trust that this is the end of it? For his sake, I hope this was just a short moment in his long career (and life), and hopefully, he can turn it around. Maybe it's just me. Maybe I'm going a little overboard on the situation and him.
@TimothyBell908 ай бұрын
@sportsbruiserz1341 I don't necessarily disagree with you. But it's also not fair that the team that drafted him is expected to release him, but he will just be picked up by everyone else and that move will be celebrated. Burrow and Lamar have missed missed more games than Tua the last couple years. Tua has never had a losing season even when the roster was in transition. Led team to two straight playoff appearances. Has been productive each of the last two years. Is well respected in locker room and is a model citizen off of it. Unless you think his production is going to fall off a cliff and he won’t be a top 10 productive QB, then where is this video for all of the other QB extensions not named Mahomes?

Also The MVP scored only 3 more points against that same KC team in the playoffs. And he was at home, in significantly better conditions, and had his healthier supporting cast.
@sportsbruiserz13418 ай бұрын
There's no question that there's bad contracts in the top 10, or outside of it. Like Watson, Murray, Cousins, Herbert (depending if you like him), Jones, etc. I'm not denying that there aren't any. Like I said in the video, Tua has gotten better each year, especially the last 2, so I don't doubt he'll get the big contract. My concern is that if when he does, and they start losing pieces around him, how will he look? Whether it's fair or not, people will criticize Tua if he doesn't live up to the deal. And the concussion does concern me. He did do better this year staying healthy, but it's always a thought that lingers.
@ligafftheindifferent34958 ай бұрын
THis idea that Worth can replace Rice is crap. Sure, maybe he can. (key word here is maybe( but that is not the point. KC is very weak at WR and we have no idea how much Brown or Worthy will contribute. But even if Brown and Worthy are both better than Rice, KC still needs him because the WR room is barren. When we are still talking about Hardman and Toney making the team, it is clear that KC has a long way to go to fix that position group.
@ligafftheindifferent34958 ай бұрын
IF the NFL clears him, KC should keep him. They kept Hill and got a team friendly deal in the process. Releasing him is a bad football decision and if someone else is going to get him, there is no point in virtue signalling by letting him go.
@sportsbruiserz13418 ай бұрын
True. If he's found innocent on the assault charges, there is no reason to punish him. When the first incident happened (car crash), I talked about how they'll be fine with his absence for the first half of the season (if true). But if there are charges, it's something the Chiefs could consider. It's not like the Chiefs are unfamiliar without having Rice (2022 SB).
@TV-fv1ih8 ай бұрын
You have to have standards! The difference between Hill and Hunt was that the latter lied to the organization. Both were "risky" picks, but both have kept their noses clean for the most part. The assault charge is questionable unlike the racing and leaving the scene. Now they are going back to his college days and it seems he had problem there as well and a report circulated among a number of teams including the Chiefs! Reid has always taken risks, but has known when to walk away. They really should accept whatever the NFL delivers and try to move forward. Leaving the scene, for me, is the concern as is going out to bars while all of this is in limbo. It shows a consistent lack of judgement and questionable behavior by those he chooses to hang around. I'd keep him, but would use this in future negotiations should he warrant a new contract!
